...I really doubt I'll be able to contact him..but i'll try my best. This really sucks, but I guess it's my fault for not reading the rules carefully. Thanks for pointing this out to me early on so I at least have a slim chance of contacting him...

I'm about 40=50% done. uggh. gunna have to pull several hours upon hours of work to finish. It is just the open round, so I don't care too much about finishing it, as long as I post it, I suppose. I can always finish it later.. We'll see.

Pigs have flown. I got ahold of the law firm somehow and just sent them an email with my animation. They will call Herbie Hancock himself and then tell me if it is deemed ok to use.

Blarg. There's no way I can finish this animation in 48 hours when 34 of them are already sleep/work. I'll be donating $10 to the tourney for my drop out.

It's probably better this way: busy season at work, N-JLPT to study for in 2 months, warm weather to be enjoyed. I'll get the animation finished and up eventually. Maybe in July or so. I would just hate to submit it unpolished and dumb looking. But now I know my limitations better for next year and I won't try for a tricked out 2 minute animation.

Man this is fantastic! Hmmm.... Do you have the rights to use that song though? Its very important we don't use any copywritten material without consent from the owner due to legal issues. However, with yours, I believe you can just submit a version that doesn't have the music/has different royalty free music for the actual tournament. I want this in the Open Round, so what do you think NATA? Also, Lankie, I laughed my butt off to yours!

For me it's gonna be a very close call. Luckely, i hardly have anyy school tomorrow and thursday i have non at all.

But even if don't "Finish" every thing in my submission i will enter it in time.
