Don't worry too much. Most people don't mind, or are even flattered if you want to use their music from the audio portal. As long as you've credited them, it's probably fine for the contest.

Don't quote me on that, though...

I agree, but the rules say otherwise.

I'm just gonna go ahed and quote NATA from page 1:

"The great majority of audio files on NG state that you can use them freely so long as you credit them in your animation, and also for "non-commercial" purposes. While a contest like this isn't necessarily commercial in the sense that you're actively selling and making profit from it, you do in fact have the potential to be making money while using someone else's music. It is courteous to include the music author in the loop because if they are aiding your entry's quality, then they may feel entitled to a cut of the prize you earn while using it.

If they do not reply to you, you can still technically use their music. However, if they decide to come back some day and aren't happy with not receiving a cut of the prize, then it is your responsibility to settle things with them.

I hope this clears up the "audio rights usage" discussion in advance that we have every year :)"

... Hopefully this helps ;)

I like a bit more faster paced comedy but thats personal taste mostly, still freaking loved the overall idea.

It's due at 3:59pm tomorrow my time. I have school tomorrow, so I guess I'll have to finish it tonight. The current time being 3:45pm.

Yeah I'll pull an all nighter if that's what it takes. But I'll probably just super simplify it when it's getting late.

Hi! This is my first time posting but long time visitor.

This is going to be my first animation that is longer than 3 seconds. Is not as good as compared to most of the already posted ones, although I'm proud of it as being my second animation.

Anyways, here is an almost finished preview:
http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/272508134227dc890ca330e2 db9bd0f2

I left the animatic just for fun, haha. It still needs an intro, outro, fixing the timing, the backgrounds, the final scene and overall polish.

This is kind of a dream from me. I always wanted to create something for myself. So thanks NATA and NG for that. Even if I don't pass, I still like that I tried hard.

Can't wait! From what I've seen it looks amazing.

Fun fact: I just watched your open round entry from last year, and just noticed you used the same music I used in round 3.

I am DONE.

This is most certainly nowhere near as good as I had planned. I left about half of the work until the last few hours. Had to cut dialogue. Procrastination and the fact I had another animation deadline played a part :P

Anyway, I hope it'll get me through this round.

I really need some help. I've nearly finished, I just have some backgrounds left. I've run into a problem with lagging in one scene due to a blur filter in a moviecip thats being motion tweened. can anyone suggest a way I can eliminate the lag but keep the filter? It lokks rubbish without it.

Thanks but I should have mentioned its a zoom so I cant really move other stuff unless I use a VCAM which I dont think would help with lag at all
