I need to get my hands on some classical music, but I don't know where to start. Sure, google has more than enough to offer, but they're all "Symphony # derp" and whatnot, and they're awfully long to try to test-listen through 15 minute songs individually.

Can anyone think of anything off the top of their heads, familiar or not, that would make good soundtracks?

...also, TL;DR.

Anything by Arvo Pärt.

Alternatively:
Richard Einhorn - Voices of Light
Cantus Arcticus - Einojuhani Rautavaara
Finlandia - Jean Sibelius
Also sprach Zarathustra - Richard Strauss (you've probably heard at least the first part of this already)
The Planets - Gustav Holst (Mercury Venus Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune)

Or, if you're looking for something more interesting:
Studies 2B, 3a, 3e and 5 for Player Piano - Conlon Nancarrow
Music for 18 Musicians - Steve Reich
some gamelan pieces by Lou Harrison
Fumeux fume par fumée - Solage (14th-century experimental music!)

If you want something more conventional, listen to Beethoven's fifth and ninth symphonies, Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and... oh, hell, I don't know what else, most of the standard canon bores me to tears.

I quite enjoy Chopin, myself.

This is one of my personal favourites.

here is a list of classical music that i can immediately think of. i am sure that you can listen to most of the works on youtube. just use the search engine there.

beethoven - piano sonata no. 21, his symphonies are also worth listening to but i guess you already know that.
mozart - clarinet quintet in a major, requirem
chopin - nocturne in d flat major
bach - brandenburg concerto no.5, fugues, etc..
lizst - concert etude no.3
rachmaninoff - prelude in c sharp minor
schumann - piano concerto in a minor

Yeah, I make no sense.

I got one for you. It's long, but most classical music is anyway, so you just gotta deal with it.
Gustavo Dudamel: Dvorak, Symphony no. 9, 4. Allegro con fuoco

If any one played Asura's Wrath, or at least the demo, I'm sure you'll know this.
