This is a tough question for me to answer, since I live in a part of the Dayton area full of restaurants.
...but no IHOPs.
There are areas like the Dayton Mall area, Fairfield Commons area, the Greene, this Huber Heights area, and this Miller Lane area.
El Rancho Grande is the name of one of the best Mexican restaurants around.
For pizza, I like Milano's or Cousin Vinny's best (both of them local chains)
When it comes to burritos, my favorite is Chipotle...but I haven't gotten any bloody underwear from it.
For WINGS, I go to Quaker Steak and Lube (sorry, Buffalo Wild Wings). Of course, there's also that one place on Miller Lane that deserves mention for other reasons...!
I also enjoy BD's Mongolian Grill. And Smashburger...I think I like it more than Five Guys.
And the Olive Garden.
And Texas Roadhouse. Logan's is good as well.
I really cannot pick an overall favorite.
P.S. Take a look at what's between my Chipotle and Five Guys.
Feel no mercy for me. It will only cause you to suffer as well.

I know. It's mostly decent to mediocre chain restaurants and...shitty chain restaurants. I'll eat from the crappy places like Burger King and the like, but we're talking favorites, here.

I have two really good places within walking distance from my house that serve Chinese and Japanese food. Actually one of them also serves Thai food. And there's another place down the street that just does Chinese (fast food type but awesome).

Top five in no particular order.
1. Lui Lui's
2. TGI Fridays
4. Friendly's (They all closed around here, though.)
The rest are local pizza joints and local breakfast places.

Shit was so good. I was a little pissed at how expensive it was though. (5 bucks for a regular hamburger with no toppings) Oh well, so delicious.
i've heard of that restaurant chain but i don't think they have any locations in my state, lol
i've heard it is fantastic, as you've said
