Well, it's about time. The only thing that I'm worried about is that if they start revealing ALL the characters (if there even will be unlockable characters), then that would totally ruin the game and the fun of finding out who would all eventually end up actually being in this game (they've already revealed twelve; how about just releasing the number of characters instead of the actual names).

This is only speculation, though; due to Sony's non-commenting on the matter, it is only a rumor. Personally, I hope it is true for the most part. They announced a few characters in the leak that I didn't expect (such as Dante). I just hope that those aren't all the planned characters; that's not a big roster otherwise.

Sir Daniel Fortesque's appearance in this game is the only thing I'm liking so far.

In retrospect, it was kind of obvious, but still an excitement nonetheless. This goes along with some other news that he put about the game:

I don't know, but with all the 3rd-party characters leaked and revealed so far, I'd say he has better chance.

When I thought about it, Big Daddy and Heihachi are in games that were announced from their own series, but still not yet released, they are also present to future games literally. Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Bioshock Infinite are still being worked on. As for Raiden and Dante, Metal Gear Rising is still some months away and the new Devil May Cry game is still not released. They also sport their new upcoming game appearances, just like Sly Cooper.

Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance was released I think a few days ago, maybe Sora still has a chance. Not to mention Disney and Playstation seem to have a pretty good relationship with the LittleBigPlanet DLC and all...

Oh wow, I cant believe I didn't know about this. Well, anyways.. I can't wait for this; it sounds great.

It'll probably happen even if that image isn't real. I'm just hoping that they don't reveal ALL the characters (it's supposed to be a 20+ roster, so hopefully they won't).

Something's telling me, we'll only get old Dante as costumes, probably a pre-order bonus.

This one doesn't look all that bad though, in the very first trailer he looked all fucked up, but I'm guessing they tweaked him a bit. His moves seem pretty swift as well, he could really do damage.

Sackboy's moveset is really awesome. I liked how they made him for more "creative" fighters.Just amazing.
Dante's combo system transferred greatly over to this game. I'd hate to be the guy stuck in the middle of that combo. Ratchet and clank is just well done. Their moveset has to be the most douchey though; since they were made to attack at all angles. Last but not least, spike. Ehh, he kind of looks weird in HD and most of his attacks don't appeal to me.

Sony has announced they will use Raiden....the MGS2 Raiden.

I believe that the publish date has been now pushed back to November 20th.

I'm not so sure about it a knock-off though, I'd say the mechanics it borrows from other fighting games should be taken as more of a compliment. I admit, there are some Sony characters that stand out more than others, like Sackboy, Ratchet and Clank, Kratos, etc. Those characters seem a lot more well known than Nathan Hale, or maybe Fat Princess. But they are unique as well, it's just that more series have been about guns, I guess. And while the stages may seem a little...frozen at times, I gotta say I really like the mash-up ideas.

Aw it can't be that bad, I mean it may not get the same amount of notoriety as most other fighting games, but it still looks enjoyable. It looks like they're trying really hard not to disappoint people, even though a lot of them are complaining about how the game is going so far.

I agree also, the music doesn't stand out all that much, nor does there seem to be much original tracks for the game, but that's only one part of a game and it's not even really part of the fun.

Also with the release date being pushed back, I think we may see some of those DLC characters that guy from IGN mentioned. Those characters are Sora (Kingdom Hearts), Cloud (Final Fantasy 7), Nightmare (Soul Calibur), Alex Mercer (Prototype) and Minamoto Yoshitsune (Genji). Although I could be wrong...

I disagree. This game has been in development since 2009, when naughty dog was supposed to develop it (this is true). The game also has combos, cancels, etc; That's stuff smash bros does not have. They also will give you a FREE vita copy when you buy the game for PS3. That's pretty fair and is awesome for those who wanna cross play. They don't just want this game just for casuals in mind, they also want to appeal to the hardcore crowd too.

Oh for fuck's sake. Knowing this before the announcement of DLC comes out too...

I personally think that the game might just do well, provided they give a larger amount of characters. This is the chance PS fans have been waiting for, and the number of requests for inclusions in the game are high these days.

I don't view this as a Brawl clone, but it is in the mash-up beat-em-up genre. Smash Bros. coined the genre, All-Stars is another game in that genre, plain and simple.

Then it sounds like shit, you can't appeal to both and if it's been in development for THAT long and it looks like this, then the team is either lazy Or lackluster.

Street fighter X tekken appealed to casual crowds by making the controls with casuals in mind. While gameplay looks flashy/ hardcore. Why can't this game do the same as well?

Also, it doesn't even look comparable to smash, the art-styles aren't even properly maintained while everyone is meshed together in this universe. Smash bros did a great job doing this, where these guys made everyone look bland and gave them this annoying bright outlines during gameplay to feign the look.

I agree about the look of the game, but it looks like fun. I really don't care about the look of it.

It's very rudimentary, and the gameplay looks boring.
