Paul said there would around 2 dozen characters and stages "locked in" and the E3 demo. I think the company is also gonna put some DLC out for it, but much later.

I'm a little confused why everybody mentions Crash and Spyro as characters they're expecting to be in this game.

Yes, Crash and Spyro were instrumental in the Playstation 1's success and were originally made by big Sony partner studios Naughty Dog and Insomniac, but the rights to those franchises are no longer owned by them. Crash and Spryo went multiplatform almost immediately in the PS2/Gamecube generation when they were sold by their original owners.

But then again, I guess it wouldn't be hard for such characters to make an appearance anyway. Title Fight is meant as a celebration of the Playstation, so it would be in bad taste to leave them out along with other, similar situation characters like Solid Snake. It just seems illogical to assume they'll make it in for certain.

Hey, how about the characters from Dead Nation? That's an exclusive title, and Fat Princess shows us that downloadable PSN games certainly aren't being ignored.

We're going to have Ratchet and Clank right? Right? C'mon Sony stop fucking with me by confirming a minor character from a game with an excuse plot and not one of the key characters that made the PS2 such a success.

This could be a very creative and witty idea, on the other hand most of the characters already listed are on very different scales of fighting levels and there universes would be unbalanced.

We've already seen this crap on YT it's not funny. I hope they exclude Ethan Mars form the game just because of this.

I'm actually very much looking forward to this game. Of course, some more characters that will need to be added off the top of my head:

Cole MacGrath
Ratchet and Clank
Nathan Drake
PERHAPS Cloud from FFVII
Scorpion
Sackboy

I'm sure that there are many others, but for some reason, I can't think of them off the top of my head. For stages, I'd like to see Uncharted's Atlantis of the Sands and InFamous' "the Beast" somehow put together. Anyway, looking forward to this game.

I think its going to be a great game. I think Kratos will be my main guy.

There should be a boss or fight to go along with each character. The Beast, Lazarevic, Emperor Percival Tachyon, etc.

I actually do believe that we've forgotten something that could be major not with characters, but with stages.

Does Shadows of the Colossus ring any bells?

How about the Prince from Prince of Persia since that was a staple of the PS2 for a while? His acrobatic moves could be awesome, and he could makes areas that slow down time for the other fighters as a super move?

God, I forgot that Prince of Persia was a PS exclusive. It's been so long since I actually picked that game up. It's kind of like Shadow of the Colossus in some way. The only difference is that I have only played one of them.

I'm actually surprised at Sony for using Superbot for their primary sailing vessel for the game. So far, Superbot has not released one game, but apparently is made up of people who have had some experience in fighting games before (i.e. Mortal Kombat, Tekken, etc).

Also, they're hiring now.

The way people are describing this game, it doesn't sound like a Smash Bros. knockoff. It sounds more like a knockoff of Digimon Rumble Arena 2. But I'm probably just trying to find a game to claim it's a ripoff of.

Meh, it is just a "brawler" style fighting game. Saying that this rips from SSB is like saying every shooter copies Call of Duty.

Nathan Drake and Big Daddy from Bioshock leaked to be in Title Fight!

One of my favorite characters is finally getting more official news. Waiting for Cole and Snake news as well, and a check-up on Ed Boons previous Scorpion tease.

If there is nothing else new today, I definitely expect more to be revealed tomorrow.

Jak and Daxter could be the next playable characters(s) revealed. As it turns out, there is said to be a Playstation All-Stars battle Royale commercial in the works and one of the characters believed to be in the commercial was described as, "A blonde haired guy with goggles." Just as well, Jak was already confirmed by Paul Gale on this page, Q&A's number 5. The only thing I hope is that they use the Jak 2 design, that was my favorite.

Toro, a Japanese playstation mascot, the same character I believe was playable in Street Fighter X Tekken, is also believed to appear.

It seems someone on the Playstation forums, in the Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale section, was able to contact one of the games creators. The person e-mailing the character suggestions said he received an e-mail back saying:

"Unfortunately, we already have all the characters in mind that we're adding to the game. In fact, they're already implimented. It's a bit too late to take suggestions from fans, I'm sorry. Maybe you can suggest for future DLC for the game, as we already have the characters for launch picked out. Sorry for the inconvenience."

The person who received the reply from one of the games creator replied shortly after and received another e-mail that said:

"Hi *My Name Left Out*,

Thank you for your thoughtful email and interest in our game. We appreciate it!

I also appreciate your enthusiasm in creating and managing your poll. We definitely appreciate hearing this feedback. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the characters and who will or won't be in the game. My boss would perform a level 3 super on my job if I did.

What I will say is that we have been working on this game for over 2 years and are pretty close to finishing, which if you have know something about game development makes it late for any last minute character inclusion. I will also tell you that we have considered just about every character from the nearly 2 decades of Playstation history in developing this game and weren't able to include every character we hoped in this game. However, I am hopeful and actually pretty confident that you will enjoy the characters and game when you have the chance to get your hands on it. We have a tremendously passionate and talented group of developers who have been killing themselves to make an amazing game for you.

Please keep posted. Lots of announcements and reveals going on this summer!

A hedgehog grenade is a stage item in the game, and there is a Chimera in the commercial. There's a Ratchet and Clank stage, a LittleBigPlanet stage, and there is Sackboy and Ratchet in the commercial. Kratos is in the commercial and the game, and so on...

But my point is, this commercial could help us find out the characters before they are announced.

6/27/12: Today, Superbot is going to Summerfest, whatever that is. More reveals are coming in the summer, could be something new today. They also plan on going to EVO, I believe.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I hate that people are claiming it to be a Smash Brothers clone. I know, it is slightly. But there ARE major changes. For example:

- No percentage damage system
- No smash ball. Instead, they have three levels of supers.
- Stage incorporation combines elements from two games into one stage.
- Has more third party characters (not the best choice of change, but yeah)

Those are just the major changes, of course.

You have to keep in mind that, although it's a lot of western-based games, PlayStation is still part of Sony, which is a Japanese-based company. It's only natural that they have SOME Japanese games included here and there.
