It's hard for me to really pinpoint the genre I make the most because I hop around a lot. But I suppose I've probably made ambient music the most (although ambient music is pretty broad term).

Generally, classical is fading away everyday. Certainly, it won't vanish in very long time. However, it is useless to stick to it nowadays. Therefore you must get yourself off the falling old tower.

Classical's pretty timeless. I don't really see it going away any time soon. Music theory buffs still jizz over Tchaikovsky & Brahms & unless there's some revolutionary advancement in some genre that utilizes the aspects of theory as thoroughly as they did, I'm pretty sure classical will be around for ever. Hence... classic.

Classical, jazz (more of the big band jazz; I'm not at all a bebop fan), and good techno music. Techno as in electronically made stuff. Maybe that would just be electronic music. Whatever. Also, rock is sometimes good. Ooh, and bluegrass, that's a fun one. Rap can be okay. Oh, and by rock, I include alternative and metal and all the other genres like those.

In short, anything but country.

omg you miss the fucken point. music, in general, is my talent. there will be no sacrifice no matter what style I do, and I am confident about that. I want to get my name out there to express myself and have as many people hear my expression as possible. I like every type of music there is and that is why I'm asking this question. in the end i'm probably gonna end up doing whatever I want anyways

Dafuq did I read here? Dude, how can classical music be dying? Classical is the root and core of all genres. It cannot vanish! As long as there is human on this earth and no one mess with the basic theory then classical will be around for as long as we are all alive.

I know you hate your history professor and shit he taught but at least have some sense on what you are saying, bro.

Classical and misc. I like to try out new things. However my main genre are classical and folk.

hardcore, rock, indie, pop, metal, metalcore, instrumental, alterna tive,dance,singer-songwriter as shown by my Recommendations. To me it's more so about how the music sounds and makes me feel than the Genre itself

Acid house, oldskool rave, and jungle I guess. Not many of my competent tracks really fit a particular genre.

I think it's generally a bad idea for a "gun for hire"-type composer to have a genre at all.

I don't think 100bpm is a genre....

Honestly, any music is good music as long as it's good

I just don't like rap, hiphop, dubstep, and anything ending in -core (e.g. grindcore, noisecore, mathcore) Since as a generalization, there isn't much musical context to it.

It's not that I'm trying to be anything that I'm not, in fact I don't give a damn what anybody thinks of me, however I think that if I make music that is a little more appealing to the public, I'll get myself out there faster. You know what I'm saying? Even if you don't give a shit about what I just said, the question still stands: What is your favourite kind of music?

Haha, you're just fooling yourself. Write honest music from the heart. I can guarantee you'll be sick of writing whatever genre it is you've forced yourself to write for public approval eventually. It's better to be a trendsetter than a blender.

My favorite genres are diverse and make no sense to be on the same list together. With that said (in no particular order): Classical, country, rock, and anything else that is hummable.

Drum and bass, more specifically neurofunk. Love the energy it has in it and bassline synthesis is so much fun :D

DUBHOP, DUBHOP, DUBHOP.
Although the only reason I name it is because of the inability of other people to just say music is GOOD or BAD.
