personally im sorry to hear this. i thought it was one of the best series here on NG. He ended the last episode on such a cliff hanger though! couldnt he at least have done one last episode to at least wrap it up even a little?

Anthropomorphic animals exist for the sole reason that they are generally easier to draw than people. That is why I like drawing them.

Nah, I'd rather see work go incomplete rather then torture myself through seeing a once good series jump the shark in quality. This route is for the best.

i'm not surprised that he stopped working on the series. The story was getting slow and each episode was too long. it would've been extremely hard for him to make episodes since he has other things to do. But even if he stopped he could start again at some point but that's just my point of view...

People are saying it's a stupid 10 year olds' idea, but the fact is it's a pretty decent story line. If they were ever to make an ACTUAL Mario and Sonic Game (not some stupid olympic shit) then that's a great plot to follow (minus the death of Sonic's friends).

I'm sad to see it go, like so many other Newgrounds Series. I've grown up with the site and this is natural, but no matter how natural it is, it makes me sad that someone's inner drive and creativity for a project that so many people adored has disappear, disintegrated, died.

I think cancelling a flash series is different than cancelling a TV show. As a fan of SMBZ, the only thing I can do now is pray that Alvin regains the motivation and creative spark to do sprite flash again. But I kinda doubt it since Alvin's growing up and I have a sinking feeling he's gonna abandon SMBZ forever. Another contributor to this bittersweet catastrophe: selfish, ungrateful fans who want this series to be completed so badly you rather commit suicide instead of facing reality.

That's too bad. Still, someone can always continue the series from where it left off. Just ask the creator and maybe he would consider giving up the reins.

Sure wish he had just come out with it instead of being a pussy and leaving us to wait for years.
