Ah, that gets me too. I don't bitch over me having F's because I know exactly why I'm getting them.

How do you not do your work? I always did my work at the last minute and did not care too much about it. If I actually did, I would have been in honours and AP classes. I was actully invited to be in honours, but I didn't feel like filling in the paperwork. Bleh.

Should have applied yourself brah.

it is incredibly easy to get good grades in highschool nowadays and you don't even need to study at all to get okay results, because the standards are very low.

you may not be stupid, but you are defintely not intelligent either.

HAHAHA, as a matter of fact one of the guys who calls me a "dumbass" is Christian and has a 4.0 GPA :OMG

He'll probably get into a better college or university than you.

A high school dropout with an IQ of 150 still has to flip burgers at the Golden Arches.

Just prove them you're so intelligent or ignore them.
Personally I have never been insulted for having poor grades, since I always had average grades.
Also, people here don't judge shit by grades, it's all about how smart and pretty you are.

I would advice you to give it your best in school anyway, because nobody is ever going to care how intelligent you (think you) are. It's grades, experience, degrees and diplomas that will you get you somewhere in life and if you spend your entire school career slacking and getting poor grades while you could've done better you might end up feeling miserable about yourself later.

Of course having a good career is not the ultimate goal in life either and maybe you're happy this way, but you can't tell how you'll feel about your high school results in 10-20 years from now and it's probably going to be very difficult working your way up from there.

It isn't that hard to make all A's so just try. An intelligent person who does not even try in school is a waste. And yes, most people I know that make horrible grades in school are complete fucking idiots if only for the fact that they don't care about their future enough to study. Without fail they will complain and wonder why they are poor in the future.

I have a friend who aces school but always get stuff wrong and always is so sure that his wrong information is correct, like how Alaska's capital is for sure Anchorage, and how there is no such thing as Electrostatic Discharge when working with computer hardware. Not that people are meant to know that kind of stuff, but he is always so sure that he is correct, even if he hasn't actually researched about it or anything.

Hohoho.

And if my school had a computer course I would get A++++++++++ blasting through the roof and blowing up the sun. Or something.

But oh well. Time to get average marks. Too bad my school has high requirements, so if you get average marks you JUUUSSTT manage to pass. How fun.

Not always true. My high school GPA was well under 1.7 and I got into college based on high scores on the GED and ACT.

Regardless if you are or not, what good is being intelligent if you're going to flunk all of your subjects?

(or classes whatever the fuck you guys call them)

And yes, it's quite normal for slackers to get stick from people, personally I just naturally see slackers with bad grades sort of below me.

This is the issue with school. They expect teenagers to be work slaves when they give us the most boring and useless shit to do. They offer "intelligent" people classes that are barely ahead of normal ones that only look good on an college app. They spam you with more work for no reason instead of harder work.

AP classes are a fucking joke. I only have 1, and they give us an ridiculous amount of more work then the other classes when our pace is about an lesson or two above the normal classes. One time, I had to work on 3 projects at once just from that 1 AP class.

I have to drive to my school. Its 50 miles away, since I am inner city. My mom and dad work out there, so we get home at 6:00 PM to save gas. I work on my HW for an hour, since I can finish the rest at school. Then, I play video games for an hour or two, take a shower and go to sleep just to wake up at 6 in the morning.

I ended up getting an 55 on one because it was many days late, 79 on the other, and my next one is due either late April or early May.

AP classes have no regard to people with schedules like me or people with fucking lives. You learn boring shit and then get 50x the amount of work then other kids because your "smart". I understand schools don't want smart kids to be lazy, but they give us the most mundane shit to do, its not even worth trying for.

Thats one good thing about most charter schools. They tend to actually teach something. AP classes in my school were actually advanced (Except AP English; not too much of a difference from regular English)

Oh dear God you lucked out then. My AP English class was brutal. Not necessarily hard, just completely brutal on the work we were given. Boring shit, and lot's of it. I take that back, mind numbingly boring with enough essays being written in a week to make the Adeptus Administratum blush at the amount of work.

I've always made great grades, though I am kind of lazy. Regardless, I do not believe academic grades should be an indication of one's intelligence. There are all kinds of ways in which one could be an intellectual of some form or another.

Lol

In regular English, we had to do 3 essays a week, with them being 2 to 3 page minimums. AP Simply had to do even more, like 5 page essays. I only meant that there wasn't a difference on subjects: Both were taught the same thing, except that one had a bit more work.
At least it wasn't boring. We had some liberty in what to write about (a vague prompt would be given), and the type of stuff changed constantly, from philosophy to video games, or Shakespeare to any Novel we wanted to. I'm glad we were given a ton of variety.

Grades are an are a poor reflection of how smart you are. What defines intelligence? If someone does well in math and science, but bad in history does that make them stupid? Absolutely not.

I never flunk any subjects (I may flunk art this year but who the fuck cares?! It's art). I just don't get very good grades. The only subject I have an A in is computer class. All the other meaningless subjects, I get below average-to-average grades in. Last semester I had a 2.3 GPA and the guys at my lunch table were making fun of me about it.

Well if all you do is waste your time going on Newgrounds instead of reading a book or doing your homework, that sounds pretty 'dumbassy' to me. So is you actually taking what a guy who confused Earth's core with the equator seriously.

Eh, I usually don't do too good in math or English subjects. I know some things you learn in these classes aren't meaningless. But some of it is which leads to me not doing the work and getting C's or D's.
