It would be great news if it was, but I'm not getting my hopes up...
If it is, they can have all my monies!
The article sure makes it seem plausible. I'm not going to get my hopes up, sure, I'd fucking love another Timesplitters, I love the series, but I don't want to hype myself too much and then get dissapointed.
It's either TS4, Crysis 3 or a new IP.
illicit makes a damn good signature.
As much as I loved the TS series and would love to see a new game, it would suck if they released a crappy game and it tainted the name of an otherwise great series. I'm sceptical that it's going to live up to my expectations, if it ever is released. TS2 in particular has a special place in my collection. I spent so many hours playing that. I get get this feeling that a modern addition to the series just isn't going to meet the hype.
Maybe I'm just too sceptical.

Timesplitters 2 is the game that turned me into a gamer.
I hope, if this is true, that TS4 preserves the spirit of it's predecessors. Two, more that three.
So many things could go wrong, it's scary.

I hope they really are making a new one and I hope it is just as silly and packed with characters and guns as the old ones. Time Splitters was great with all those awesome matchtypes and shit.
For I am and forever shall be... a master ruseman.
I played TP2 on my... I think it was Gamecube. That was actually not a half bad game and I found it had a pretty sweet multiplayer. I would defiantly like seeing a number 4. Though I have not played 3 and I'm not a huge fan. However again, from what I've seen from the game, it's easy to follow and was fun.
Never mind, it was Crysis 3, Still stoked though. :)

Fuck.
TimeSplitters Future Perfect was one of my favorite games when I was younger, I was really hoping to relive the ridiculously fun multiplayer matches and hearing the announcer go "LOBOTOMY" every time I made a headshot.
I hope they at least take Crysis back towards the fun, sorta open world stalk people in a jungle then throw them off a mountain with maximum strength direction the first one had, I thought the 2nd felt too much like an average FPS. I'll admit though, that's not really fair of me to say because I didn't play that far into the game before I got bored so I don't know whether or not it picks up later when the aliens, I assume, start showing up.
You look nice today.
This guy brutally sodomizes me.
Cereal is pretty cool. If you're cool you'll add me on Steam. Also, Letterboxd.

Seriously? Man, to Hell with Crysis 3! All I want to do is throw bricks at a monkey as a man dressed as a robot! Is that so hard to ask for, Crytek?
Future perfect was the best in the series. Had so much fun with it, hope it's true. I would really love a fourth game. Hopefully it doesn't pull a duke nukem forever though.
Out of curiosity, what do you guys and gals think about them releasing the previous TimeSlitters games as HD remakes for Xbox 360 and PS3 (and Wii and PC, I guess)? Would you rather buy them as downloadable titles for, I dunno, $10-$15 each game, or buy all 3 on one retail disc for the price of a full game (Although it could be priced at $40. I know the MGS collection did that)? They could have full online capability, so we can play co-op online or split-screen with a friend or stranger, and play actual multiplayer matches with real people online through match-making (I never had the chance to play the games online, so I don't know how that worked out), not to mention some sort of hub to share creations made in the map maker. I'd imagine that Future Perfect would be the most popular in terms of playing online. I for one would buy them all in an instant if Crytek ever decided to do that with the TimeSplitters games.
It's Time to Split!
If a new Timesplitters does get announced... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKK!!!!! :D
