I was unaware of any name change. They're still calling it TOFA over on ABS.

Yeah, it has been renamed to NATA (Newgrounds Annual Tournament of Animation).

Oh, that's cool. It's good to see Newgrounds picking it up. I know they sponsored it in 2011, but I didn't follow it that year.

I shall explain!

TOFA was started by Munchymedia and was originally hosted by ABS in 2007. In 2011, TOFA moved to NG, and a separate tournament was started on ABS under the same name. This year, to prevent confusion, Munchymedia's TOFA switched to NATA and on ABS the name remains TOFA.

So... it's two different tournaments.

Will TOFA be a part of Nata? The rounds diagram on the NATA website looks like there are 2 groups that compete and then the last standing on each side face off? I could be misguided? Could someone clear this up for me?

I wouldn't mind combining the two, though there is a lot of bad blood between ABS and NG, so I don't see it ever happening.
