I barely ever post here, but I think some people here would like to know about this:

http://www.maxgames.com

Example:

http://www.maxgames.com/play/reimagine-the-game.html

They don't give credit to anyone or anything, they just steal flash games from other sites, post them on theirs and then make money off the ads.

This is really nothing new. I remember searching for some games I made years ago, and found them posted up on numerous sites as you describe.

Case in point.

I doubt we could do much legal action wise, but them making money off the ads for it is dumb as hell I agree.

Even Kong does it! Look:
http://www.kongregate.com/games/Foreverkul/toss-the-turtle
is a rip of Toss The Turtle. It's not even submitted by Gonzossm.

That's not to say that Newgrounds isn't guilt free.

That site Max Games actually sponsored the first "the :game" game, so I don't think they took the game without his permission...

I wonder how many websites are just dumps for images and games that can be found in a thousand other places.

Foreverkul (the programmer of Toss The Turtle) submitted the game to Kongregate...

Lol you're all so silly. There are sites that -do- steal, but most of the time those sites are sponsor sites.

Well, there's countless Max-Games games ripped off on our site, so it goes both ways.

Does Gonzossm know that the programmer is stealing his artwork?
I'll spam his inbox with PMs until he knows, thanks for pointing it out.

There is a difference between stealing a game and having a sponsor for a game. Newgrounds isn't the only site that hosts flash games on the net you know.

What happens usually is the creator wants their game to be played by as many people as possible, which is completely understandable. So, they submit their game to multiple sites in hope of reaching their game out to more people.

This. People think submitting flash games on other websites is serious business and have to do some kind of copyright paper agreement or some shit when really is just simple. Newgrounds doesn't really own every flash that's created on here. I don't know why people always think this.
