Anywho, since alot of people like the song (i personally don't) here's YOUR chance to remix it!

Sounds awesome!
Does it have to be a Metal-Based Remix?

Doesn't say that in the rules does it? :) I want to see a bunch of variety in this contest, it will be interesting.
Haha ok. I'll possibly enter if I can get around to making something.

Neat, however take your time with this contest, pleanty of time. You can enter multiple entries if you wish :)
Also people, forgot to post the original song so you know what to remix xD http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/120136
Also I want to encourage you guys to try different genres if you wish, don't feel obligated to do just rock or metal :)
So to keep this thread going and to give remixers ideas, what kind of different styles would you like to see artists work with on their remixes?

Personally I look forward to trying to tackle the song in 16-bit, Mega Man X style.
I've got some studying to do before I'll be confident enough to try it, though!

The fundamental flaw in this contest in in your own rule in that it's based on remixing copyrighted samples in the first place.

No it's not. There's a DIFFERENCE between covering a song, and using samples from it. You can NOT use samples from the song, but you can remake the riffs using what you have and even add on to it. Copyrighted samples btw does NOT include stuff you find in FL Studio or such, thats fine to use. I don't see any flaws here.

You didnt' say anything about covers only.
The word Remixing could mean covers and / or sampling. Please clarify in the future.
Good luck wiht your contest.
Thanks and sorry, I figured everyone knew, I mean I've made plenty of remixes just using samples with FL Studio as well as tweaking synths, but those arent copyrighted, those are ok, nearly everyone on NG here uses those. As long as it's nothing from a tv show or a game or sampling from songs, it's all good.
Always loved that battle in Castle Crashers, so I might give this a shot. However, for some reason I'm finding it difficult to actually 'decode' it... May I ask you which key this was written in?

Nevermind, I think I've got it now (A# minor?)
Alright, last post for now: C# minor for the chorus and bridge, A# minor for the intro and build-up. (Sorry for the multi-post) Mind if I post a midi file here when I'm done to make it easier for other people to remix?

Awesome! I'm surprised there's not too many people on this thread, figured more newgrounders/castle crashers fans would pick this up lol.
