Only 23 years old, Edd had accomplished so much. He wasn't just one of NG's most popular contributors of all time, he was one of the most popular animators in the history of the Internet, with a huge following everywhere he went.
Edd's friends Tom and Matt have put together a video dedicated to Edd. Please take a moment to watch the video and then enjoy some of Edd's movies:

There are way too many great ones to list in one post. Check out Edd's movies page for nearly a decade of animation.
It's depressing to think about all the great movies Edd had yet to bring us but also totally inspiring that he accomplished so much in 23 short years. In less than a decade Edd achieved more than most people could dream of achieving in their entire lives. He also did it while being totally humble and kind the entire time. Edd was a truly amazing human being and we're gonna miss him greatly.
In the past week we've lost Randy Solem, Luccas Bode and now Edd. None of us knows how much time we have left so if you have a dream of your own, don't keep waiting for the right moment; the moment is now.
Cancer's one hell of a disease. The best to his family and rest in peace, Edd.

It's really hard to believe that someone as strong and as humorous as Edd could just pass away like that...it really is. When I found out he passed ,y heart just sank, and I had no motivation to work on anything. I'm sure almost everyone did. Edd inspired the entire world with his animations and he most likely inspired all of us on NewGrounds. We may have lost a very important person in our life's, but we did not lose our faith in Eddsworld.
It's such a shame that he died so young, 23 is no age to die :(

You could start a collab.

Off what animations dedicated to them?

He was one of my favourite animators since 2008
Just in case no-one saw my news post:
I thought I'd say the same thing as I did in a comment I made in the announcement video on Youtube:
... Shit... well, I only spoke to Edd at one of two Newgrounds meetups in London so I didn't get a chance to properly know the guy, but what I knew of him is the same as all of you: a very talented artist with excellent humour in his work, inspiring as many people as possible. I hope there's an animation studio up there so that other talented artists and fans alike can meet him again one day. My condolences to his family, friends and everyone that knew him personally. Rest in Peace dude.
Separate from the Youtube comment, same goes for recent artists that have been mentioned on the In Memoriam page, Randy's Rise Of The Mushroom Kingdom series is one of my favourites. We'll all see you again guys, rest in Peace.
As I said in the other thread, rest in peace Edd.
His flashes really did have a good effect on me-making me laugh after I'd cried, helping me through something really shitty, etc. This is really sad.
Damn, not fucking fair, I thought he can't die.

I'll always remember him when animating. People will rewatch his creations for decades out of nostalgia.
It's a funny sort of thing, how a guy with so much to lose so immediately could have found the kind of personal strength it takes to be kind-hearted, reasonable, and enjoyable to be around when surrounded by others regardless. And this wasn't rare for Edd, either. He didn't keep himself TO himself. Even while sick, he still stepped outside of that dark world and laughed anyway. That's character that I fear I will never know in myself.
I knew this man. What a terrible thing to happen to such a good person.

No offence Amaranthus but I think a collab dedicated to them is a great idea, but it should be done by somebody with a little more experience.

I'm actually quite sorrowed by such news. I've enjoyed his works for a long time, and are apart of the inspiration which is driving me in the direction of art, animation, and music. He will be dearly missed, and so will the others that have passed away.
To be honest before he died I had no idea what Eddsworld was. I went on YouTube out of curiosity and his animations were very well done and Iiked them a lot. Sad to see someone so young die in such a drawn out way.
Girls just wanna have fun.
God, what a terrible week.
My condolences and thoughts to Randy's, Luccas' and Edd's families and friends.

Holy crap. I know that it shouldn't place the loss above those like Randy Solem and Lucas Bode, but I actually met Edd at a couple of the London meets. He was a really nice guy and one that I'd like to think of as a friend. To learn that he was even ill is a hammer blow, let alone that we've lost him :'(

Indeed the moment is now - I just need to find some inspiration to carry on writing. Yes, I'm inspired to write because of the tragic loss of Edd, but I just have nothing coming forth on the old creative channels right now...
Newgrounds just got a bit more boring with his departure. Why can't my mother died instead of him?
no not Edd ill miss u Edd rest in peace
talk to the face
What the hell is going on here? Why the best ones die?
Rest in Peace Edd.
Damn you cancer

Edd will be forever remembered as great animator and an amazing person. He excelled in everything he did.
My condolences to he's family and friends.
Edd will be missed.
I never thought he'd die against cancer, it sounded like he was going to make it... Edd, you will be missed. Even though you're gone from this world you've left behind your work, which many people will love for decades to come.
RIP Edd
