I see his animation style in new artists' flashes all over this site, which gives me confidence that eddsworld's legacy will carry on.
RIP eddsworld.
Wait...
Did anyone else realize Edd died...
On his birthday?
Edd served as strong inspiration for many of us.
The thing about him, was that he had an undeveloped talent, which after many years, he improved through hard work and dedication. His writing had remarkable wit, it was just pure comedy. Pure comedy that was appropriate, yet targeted at people of all ages. He really showed that anyone can create a story as long as they put their heart into it.
I feel for his family, Tom, Matt, Psychicpebbles, Rubberninja, and anyone else who knew him personally. He truely was a top bloke.
Heh, ever since learning English, I've been a fan of Edd's work.
He will be dearly missed.
A toast, to a great artist.
Barev dzez.
I wonder what type of cancer Edd had, too bad he was only 23 when he lost his battle to it. I did enjoy all of his NG submissions, and I hope he becomes an inspiration to me.

I didn't like any of his animations, but still a sad loss of life... was anyone aware that he had cancer? I surely wasn't

Leukemia, I think.
I wonder what his last words were.
Damn, I only really started watching Edd's work a couple of years ago, but I respected him greatly. This is terrible, and impossible to expect. When I saw the name, it didn't even click, I was just trying to figure out who it was, not even thinking that his death was a possibility.
I'm most scared to tell my little brother. He loved Edd and his cartoons, and was one of his favorite animators.
RIP Edd
i didnt even know he had cancer

Probably the corniest pun in all of existence.
I think I will miss those the most :(

This guy was a real person. He had purpose. Everything he did had purpose. And now he's dead. What BS...

Sadly... It's true.

Oh YouTube. Never change.
But yeah, this is terrible news. I was once a huge fan of this guy's work, so this really comes as a shock to me.
R.I.P, Edd.

I believe it was leukemia, too, I suppose.

A wonderful tribute to an amazing man, who let his vision carry him on. This just fucking blows. That little wanker's impressed me, ever since he got here. It was easy to overlook his humor, because it was unassuming, self-deprecating - the work of a true British gentleman. I'm sure is soul is swimming anew in a bright and wonderful place. Thank you for sharing your life's imaginings with us. You will be missed and remembered.
Correction on my part.
His birthday was in October.
Anyway, he will be dearly missed.
...Gosh, upon finding this out, I just started to cry...
Never again will I be able to laugh at his videos, or look forward to another release, or, heck, drink a can of cola without remembering him.
Rest in peace, my friend....

I'm sure that's the exact opposite of what he would have wanted.
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!
Also, I like annoying Americans by calling English football "real football" and American football "rugby".-Lost-Chances

Whoops.
My mistake
Man, he was one of the best things to happen to Newgrounds. I REALLY hope this is some kind of sick joke.
Poor Edd. You did so many things for me. I never thanked you before, so I guess I'll do it now.
Thanks, Edd, for making me laugh, smile, sing about sandwiches, recite silly poems about christmas, and regard cola more fondly than maybe I ought.
Much love.
Thank you Edd.
You were a fantastic artist and animator. You brought so much joy into mine, and many other peoples, lives. You're one of the reasons I came onto NewGrounds in the first place.
So very much love and rest my friend.
Rest in peace,
~Al
Maybe a collab should be set up in honor of him, showing respects and such. Idk. I just feel like doing something for him.
Yea..Best Signature..Ever.
Holy shit. I can't believe it.
Same age as me, damn.
Sort of surreal reading about it. I was never a huge fan of Eddsworld but the stuff I do remember was fairly entertaining, and I had no idea he was battling cancer for 6 years. That's depressing.
Rest in peace, you will be missed.
So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.
