Neo Does all kinds of awesome stuff inside the matrix but he also does it outside. In the Matrix Revolutions he was able to destroy machines by just thinking it. He could also see everything digital when he was blind. Therefore he qualifies as a superhero.

His powers only work within the matrix - therefore, he was within the matrix at the time. The robots won.

He didn't start out in comics and does not wear a cape nor does he have any arch-nemesis; therefore he cannot be a superhero but rather a badass with cool powers.
Find me on gears pussies. Credit goes to Shaun for the dope sig.

He was not within the matrix when he ripped the machines to shreds.

He must have been, but the movie was shit anyway.
The writers were really stretching for ideas to try to get people mindfucked, but they just ended up looking like asses. So I don't acknowledge any Matrix movies past the first.

If you haven't acknowledged the 3rd one then your argument is not valid.

uhhhh no. Neo isn't a superhero. You have to be inducted by the Comic World to qualify as a legitimized superhero character. Let me tell yahh allot have applied for the Job. But Only the selected few can be called by the Comic World book readers, an Official Super Hero. Neo thinks he can just come in here with his do-dads, and say hey I'm a superhero. not on my watch buddy, not on my watch. the hills have eyes, but I'm not crazy. tehh Neo SuperHero pssh yea right, I suppose pigs can fly too
KEEPIN It REAL Like HOLIFIELD RAW like STAR WAR, CLEAN like Mr. CLEAN, MEAN Like Mr. T, SWEET Like SWEET TEA, I BRING THE BOOM (NOTE: if you post with ignorance I will slam u)

I think that explanation is a bit boring and obvious, as well as making the chat between the architect and the oracle at the end a bit of a plothole. My best guess is this:
Neo has admin privileges within the matrix right? So maybe the jacks also have a wireless function and he has been able to enable his in some manner.

that's true.
and does not wear a cape
Also true, but he does have a trench coat.
nor does he have any arch-nemesis;
Isn't Agent Smith his arch-nemesis?
therefore he cannot be a superhero but rather a badass with cool powers.
Isn't that essentially what a superhero is?
A spear in your chest and a fire in your ass. I only play as Scorpion in MK games, because I'm that much of a fanboy.

Nope. He was outside of the Matrix, or at the very least outside of the first level if you go by a popular fan hypothesis that the "real world" was also part of the program to give the illusion that people had a choice.
The writers were really stretching for ideas to try to get people mindfucked, but they just ended up looking like asses. So I don't acknowledge any Matrix movies past the first.
Not really. I think they did a pretty good job. Besides the flying shit going on

Make a Neo comic book and maybe I can agree that he is a superhero.

I haven't watched any of the Matrix films but I had the third one on in the background once while I was on my computer and it looked like a shit film with way too much pointless explosions and action.
I don't mind movies with action but it takes it too far if that is what your using for substance in a film...what about plot and characters and stuff.

No, in that one scene he destroyed all those flybots with his telekinesis when they were going to destroy their spaceship inside that tunnel thingy, but he collapses afterward
