I walk down same sidewalk, behind you, in the middle of the night, and I'm showing clear signs I'm pursuing you, that looks like a threat doesn't it? It at least raises your hackles some yes?Do you think that you walking behind me for a block, tops, at night, gives me free reign to start hitting your head into the ground?
I would just like to point out AGAIN that both according to Zimmerman AND Jeantel there was a vernal exchange before the fighting started.
In one, Trayvon is the clear initiator of hostilities and in the other, it's unclear but at no point does Zimmerman make a threat.
I honestly find Zimmerman's account hard to believe as no one could be as fucking stupid as he portrays Martin to be but HEY circumstantial evidence surrounding that kid seem to indicate that YEAH you can be that stupid.

Oh and btw when this story came out I was firmly against Zimmerman because of the media. Not because of the racial thing, which I have always thought to be fucking stupid and bullshit, but because he sounded like a wannabe cop / dumbass vigilante with mental issues who just went around his neighborhood pissing off people until he eventually pissed off the wrong guy who he instigated so much he started a fight that ended with him shooting him like a cowardly pussy.
The media made it sound like according to the law you could just walk around and start fights with anyone you wanted and then legally shoot them if you felt like it since you could just lie and say they were threatening you.

Actually that was the intent of the Stand Your Ground law. That's the only possibly intent that would justify such a poorly created and worded law that does nothing to aid or assist the already sufficient and proper self defense leal doctrine in existence.

human stupidity knows no bounds. It's like the latest juror open her mouth and to put it shortly, "He got away with murder"
"You can't put the man in jail even though in our hearts we felt he was guilty," said the woman who was identified only as Juror B29 during the trial. "But we had to grab our hearts and put it aside and look at the evidence."
She said the jury was following Florida law and the evidence, she said, did not prove murder.
you have put your heart aside and look at the evidence? no shit Sherlock. That's how the legal system works.
Umm, yeah, while I'm all for freedom of speech, some people should really think twice before they open their mouth, or at least write down what they want to say, wait a few hours to a couple of days, then read it and see if it still makes sense before saying it to someone else.
I'm not crazy, everyone else is.

The irony is that most places destroyed in the Trayvon riots were owned by black people. It's stupid, why trash your own neighborhood? Calling a riot a rational expression of rage, that's a cop-out. It's opportunism at it's worst, just abunch of people grabbing any excuse they can find to go loot a store!
Look at the statistics, It's like one in every 3 black males in some phase of correctional facility. Is this coincidence or do these people have a racial commitment to crime? Not only that but they are proud of it.
Then what politicians like to do is take one thing and call it something else, and just alleviating the responsibility these people have for their own actions. You know it's like saying "it's not a riot, it's rage" or "it's not crime, it's poverty".
So many questions

well, the rioters are all Trayvon Martin, not known for their intellect or ability to articulate themselves. I don't expect much else from a bunch of knuckle dragging neanderthal thugs who believe that violence solves everything.
Look at the statistics, It's like one in every 3 black males in some phase of correctional facility. Is this coincidence or do these people have a racial commitment to crime? Not only that but they are proud of it.
it has more to do with their society than anything else. This is the same group that came up with the phrase "acting white" to describe a black person trying to do good in school and not party.
Then what politicians like to do is take one thing and call it something else, and just alleviating the responsibility these people have for their own actions. You know it's like saying "it's not a riot, it's rage" or "it's not crime, it's poverty".
What you have is a group of politicians and special interest groups on both sides who are content to keep uneducated people, well, uneducated. The worst thing a politician would ever face (besides his/her own eventual demise) is an informed and educated public. There is a long list of politicians on BOTH sides who would all be given the boot if the public would just educate themselves and make informed decisions.
In case you were wondering why our school system is so bad off, especially in inner cities has nothing to do with money. it has to do with power. Keep them dumb, keep them ignorant, and watch as the mindless drones do you bidding.

I don't know if it's actually true or not - apparently the defense said in court that someone who thought Trayvon was the taller was basing their opinion off the old photographs the media showed, so maybe it is an old photograph, and maybe Snopes are wrong. There are definitely contradictory sources about whether or not the photo is wrong.
Although I love how it still doesn't change anything.
I never said it did.

I wasn't trying to challenge your overall point, I was just questioning whether or not the 'old' photo is actually old.
Nice try. Dumb fuck.

I'll put it like this. there's a reason why you are overcome with the overpowering smell of bullshit when a politician says they care about the people. them being in their position isn't about serving anyone but themselves. They talk about how they want to help the "less fortunate" and yet they never do. Seems like every time they pass something 'for the people' its either a useless feel good measure that doesn't really DO anything or it ends up harming a sizable portion of the population.

Innocent happy baby Trayvon was skipping while humming a merry tune along the road from the candy store with his Arizona Iced Tea and Skittles in prominent display, songbirds tweeting happy birdsong around his head.
Meanwhile, a horridly obese man emerged from the forest in full Klan regalia, waving goodbye to his fellow Tea-Party racist republican NRA members after another rally to promote rape culture against womyn and minorities. "Great meeting, you guys!" he shouted as he waved behind him. The man removed his Klan hood to reveal the hideous face of none other than George Zimmerman; his blond hair, pale white skin, and swastika tattoo in prominent display.
Suddenly, the evil tiny-dicked white NRA racist spotted innocent Trayvon playing with the happy animals in a scene reminiscent of Bambi. Enraged, the racist Zimmerman phoned the police. "BIPPITY BAPPITY YIPPITY YAPPITY YEAHAAWW TARNATION Y'ALL DE'RES A GODDAMN AFRICAN IN THESE PARTS" he screeched at the operator while waving his Confederate flag. "I'M GONNA SHOOT ME A GODDAMN COON SKINNED AFRICAN"
"No, please, don't do that you racist!" the 911 operator cried! "I am giving you a legally binding directive not to leave your gas-guzzling global warming causing rapist car with confederate flag and Romney 2012 bumperstickers! Spare that sweet, innocent little boy!"
But the racist small dicked white NRA member Zimmerman had no mercy in his heart when he murdered poor baby toddler like jolly Trayvon with his tiny-dicked compensation assault pistol. Flashes of MLK Jr and a thousand slaves being whipped flashed through Trayvon's mind to the chorus of angel choir as he ascended into heaven, while Zimmerman and the racist cracka ass police danced around Trayvon's corpse firing guns into the air like Yosemite Sam.
Knowing Zimmerman would need evidence in his favor for crimes they weren't going to charge him for, the racist police helped Zimmerman fake head injuries to make his story convincing.

No, I got it from 4chan's politics board.
It's a pretty accurate summary of how the media painted the case as a racial issue though, despite the fact Zimmerman is Hispanic.

Does Florida's Stand Your Ground laws extend to defending yourself with lethal force against a guy who has been following you around at night in a car then gets out and comes towards you with a gun?

If the gun is visible and it's in his hand, then sure. you seem to ignore the inconvenient fact that Martin could not see Zimmerman's legally obtained legally carried concealed gun.

Are you the kind of guy who would make that same person fear for his own life?
If you are, I hope you get Trayvon'ed as well. When you do, it will save the taxpayers countless dollars and manhours in foregone rehabilitation . . . which doesn't work in the kind of person you/Trayvon are: stupid assholes who think because they are young and liberal, yes liberal, if they assault the guy who's followed you while you were casing potential victims' residences, he won't fight back with potentially lethal force.
But hey, it could've been Obama walking along that night. And look where we are cuz he wasn't.

He thinks Trayvon had a right to kill Zimmerman for following him in his vehicle and then confronting Trayvon on foot. That was what he was stating, that Trayvon had a right to initiate lethal force, and be protected under self-defense, for being followed and confronted. That's a stupid and ignorant position. If he adhered to that in RL, I would hope he would lose whatever battle (legal/physical) he chose to fight.

agreed Trayvon had no reason to get violent and resort to violence since there was no agression initiated byt zimmerman following him (ONE BLOCK ON CITY SIDEWALK) but once zimmerman cut pursuit and head back to his car and trayvon used aggression zimmerman was in full rights to use Self defense.
trayvon would have lost legally, and he lost physically LOL!
