Example A kicks in at :48 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwNmKlczhCs

Example B kicks in around 1:20 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZubRfVUanG4

Using a Fruity Limiter how would you recommend going about side-chaining that, and what exactly is getting ducked here, is it basically everything but the kick? I've tried getting that woosh compression, but I don't get very close so I'm wondering if anyone has this down or not?

That doesn't sound like side chaining at all. That sounds like gating. Side chaining would have residual sound as the source sound died out, whereas this cuts in and out. I would just get that effect manually by muting the mixer channels at the desired intervals. I'm sure there's a 'better' way, but I never found it that hard to do it manually.

Derp, that is, the first example sounds like gating - the second example just sounds like side chaining with a low threshold & high compression ratio (8:1 or higher). Two different sounds and effects completely - which one do you want to go for?

Sorry for the double post, here.

Yea it's all good, definitely more for the first one really, they sounded similar but the first track has that whoop to it that's big right now in the clubs, so I'm trying to build an experimental track to get the concept down before I try to really apply it

Side chaining is a technique where you run a synth/sample through a compressor, where it only activates the compression when another instrument (like, say, a bass drum) activates compressor (that connection is called a 'side chain'). Different compressors function slightly differently, I suspect, but the principle is the same all around. You can make the effect as pronounced or subtle as you need it to be - sometimes you just want to leave more room for the bass, so the chaining can be almost unnoticeable, while other times you're looking for more of a dance effect, in which case the chaining will sound like the second video where the music almost cuts out completely when the drums strike.

Partly true, you can sidechain with all kinds of effects such as reverb. However, sidechain compression is a technique that gets used farout the most. I use it myself all the time as well. It can get your kick a lot more clear in your mix.
