Yea high school life is so stressful and difficult, having to pretend you're the next Porter Robinson with your peers.

It really sucks that your track was stolen, but I got a good laugh out of his explanation.

"only saved up the midi"

What does that even mean? Why would you only save ten seconds of the midi file when you can just save the project?

I have to admire how he's sticking with his story, though.

We should look around in the Audio Portal to find these songs. I'm so sure he didn't make them.

Aren't you supposed to save your project before you can even prepare it for MIDI export? (In FL Studio)

I'm sorry Avizura but this and the paragraph following it are emotional manipulation, the guy obviously stole your track and is trying to misdirect you and get you off his back. He already used one bullshit explanation, and if your radar wasn't going totally insane when he said he only has a 10-second MIDI of everything then you MIGHT JUST BE WAY TOO NICE/GULLIBLE.

Don't fall for his stupid little tricks, he's trying to guilt you, even though HE stole YOUR track and is the guilty one.

This guy is a massive tool, obviously full of shit, and could have deserved mercy had he admitted it, packed up his bags and left, but now he keeps trying to throw up smokescreens (all of which are absolutely retarded) so let's all put the pressure on and put him out of "business."

Alright Avi, now don't get distracted.

I need you people's help to find out where we can find the original versions.
Is there some kind of Audio-file recognize software around here on the internet?
It will be very helpful if there is.

Hide your name somewhere in the song

Most software does that. I know for a fact you can put your info in the id3 tags using Audacity, Finale and Cakewalk. Never actually done it in Ableton, Reason or FL Studio, but I doubt they'd leave that out.

If anyone here knows if/how, I'm sure they'd love to share this gem.

not that there aren't ways around this, but it is an extra measure of security.

Not if your clever, like putting it in the drop if your making dubstep or place it in such a way that if they did cut it out, the overall quality of the song diminishes greatly.

I can't speak for Ableton of FL Studio, but Reason doesn't export Mp3 files - only WAVs. You'd need to run any file through Audacity (or another audio program that creates Mp3 files), anyway, so Reason users can (and always should) ID their tracks that way.

Need some music for a flash or game? Check it out. If none of this works send me a PM, I'm taking requests.

But other people are able to change those tags, right?

Technically yes, but it's "themed" music.

I find your lack of Ponies disturbing.

Yeah, and pretty easily, too. It's not a very good way to verify your stuff, but thieves can forget to change these things when they steal other people's music, at times. It's better to either have a dated copy of the original or a beta of the source - a thief can't physically reproduce these things.

In FL Studio, when you go to the Project Info, you can add your name and title as an ID-tag.

Old thread is old, and the situation has already been resolved a long time ago.
