Now building Vault 101, reverse engineered from yesterdays technology.. or I could ignore it, and let you figure it out |:
The greatest villain of all time is. . . Light Yagami
Common sense is not so common- Voltaire
Action is the real measure of intelligence- Napoleon Hill
Intelligence without ambition is like a bird without wings- Salvador Dali
My favourite villain would likely be General Grievous from Star Wars, if you take into account all of his lore, both prior and after his cybernetic enhancements.
Runner up would be Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda. (Ignoring his final fight with Po.)
My power is the only power.
Lavos from the snes game Chrono Trigger. He crashes down to earth out of nowhere and causes an ice age, then after that blows over he re-creates all forms of life on the planet just to feed off of the energy they radiate.
Plus his boss battle is pretty crazy in itself.... @_@

Sephiroth.
You just HAD to pick the pussy out of all the Final Fantasy villains? I am disappointed in you. Kefka is where it's at, man. He doesn't threaten to destroy the world, he DOES IT.
Everyone knows that Skeletor is the most badass villain.
A spear in your chest and a fire in your ass. I only play as Scorpion in MK games, because I'm that much of a fanboy.

I ENJOY CRANBERRY SAUCE. A LOT.
Of course it has to be Johan Liebert from Monster. His disturbing smile and his calm voice would literately scare the crap out of anybody, if not kill them altogether.
Proof that you don't need superpowers or evil acts for the lolz to be the coolest villain ever.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Killer croc
hes so bad ass
He just waits and waits in the shadows to strike....
Wha ha ha ha!
Colonel Tavington from the Patriot or The Governor from the Walking Dead

I want to love you for this comment because Luca is the greatest game villain ever, but then I remember you're sexist and good taste in villainy won't save misguided notions in other areas. :(
But yes Luca Blight is just brilliantly evil. I mean it took 3 parties of 6 to take him down and even then he carried on till the bitter end. He was a massacring badass, witnessed his mothers repeated rape as a child moments after his father fled them. He turned evil and it was beautiful.
Anyone in doubt should read this.
Also Light isn't a villain, he's an anti-hero.

You should feel privileged to share similar taste as me. In time, perhaps you'll realize I'm correct in other subjects as well.

I loved to hate this guy, he was just so well fleshed out.

Privileged is definitely the wrong word. Happy that someone else enjoys a largely underrated RPG though. Those first 2 were great games.

The perfect villain. Tragic past, completely mad present with a large amount of power, in both his strength and his army.
They don't make em like that anymore.

The creator of Suikoden originally wrote a storyline for a game, which he pitched to Konami and they gave him the go, but he soon realized the content was too large, the game would be too long, so he split it up into two parts Suikoden and Suikoden 2. After the second Suikoden he left for some other company (I forget) and Konami took leftover of the lore he wrote for the games to come up with Suiko3. Suiko4 was outsourced to another company and it turned out to be shit. Suiko5 was just more leftover lore from the original creator. I doubt we'll have another game and if we do I'm sure it won't be great. But yeah the original first two games are fantastic.

For the most part, true. It seems in this day and age we lack any characters with interesting depth.
Im gonna go with Dr.Doom on this one.
Typically one of the villians behind all the big problem for most of the Super Hereos.
WildnCuzzImYung
im gonna go with jasper bat junior not cus of his evil actions or story but because he was literaly evil during the fight

I never knew this. Thank you for telling me the most interesting thing I'll hear all day. I still got 4 & 5 (3 wasn't released here), and yeah the only thing similiar with 1 & 2 is the title. Unlike FF who manage to keep some of their original charm. Shame really.

Sephiroth is still great too for that.

If you're going to be like that, Shakespeare.
Never, in the field of human learning has someone been so hated by so many.

Oh, I see. Now that we're onto someone who threatened to burn down a school being badass. Why not go to livecorpse, because at least he committed crimes, before turning the gun on himself.
There are plenty of villains from history, which we can look at:
Napoleon Bonapate
King John of England
Adolf Hitler
Ghengis Khan was by all accounts not a particularly nice man, but there is some debate as to whether or not he was a hero or a villain.
Mao Tse-Tung
Kim Il-Sung
Kim Jong-Il
Pol Pot
South African Apartheid leaders
The list goes on.
Professor James Moriarty is a spectacular fictitious villain, as he keeps coming back - one of the earliest recurring villains, as set out by Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle in the Sherlock Holmes novels.
