Thanks. I got caught red-handed using the convolve tool haha.
I messed around with the facial features some more:
It's amazing how fast you pump out these drawings! Everyday there's something new, and they're all of excellent quality. I mean, none of them are polished to perfection, but each image is pretty powerful regardless. Do you do livestreams of any of your speed paints?
I don't livestream but I partially do my paintings on a public drawing board. If you're curious I can link you.
I think I'm going into a zombie/monsters phase.
Really digging the new stuff and subject matter. If I could offer a critique, I think your edges could be a little crisper. Everything else in your rendering is fine, I just think as you get closer to the edges/outlines things tend to look a little soft/blurry in some spots. Just an observation.
Word to your mother
I think that's an effect of drawing these on a much larger public drawing board. So I make a box and paint within that box and crop out the excess later. Since I'm using 50% opacity I guess it fades towards the edges. I'll keep in mind to harden the edges next time, tho. Thanks, man. You have a sharp eye.
Anyway: revisiting my roots for a minute.
i cant keep up with the awesomeness of your artwork... so much goodness!
bows down to your mighty speed and tallent

Another Metroid speedpaint.
For some reason, her using a straw is such an awesome touch. A nice dainty juxtaposition to the ass-kicking suit that will inevitably be covered in grime.
Word to your mother
I much prefer your digital paintings to your lineart stuff, both in execution and in subject matter (but hey, that's just me). Not that the animu girls are poorly drawn, but the difference in quality is still pretty jarring between those and the paintings, imo.
Like I already said, wish you would spend a bit more time on the paintings. Speedpaints are cool, but I'd like to see something more finished looking from you.
Agree with ImpendingRiot about the straw. Your work is full of nice little details like that.
Latest Blog Entry - thx
God I still drool over your work. Im finding it hard to obtain time in my life to practice - how do you manage to pump out so much so quickly without lacking quality?!?!?1
You are a straight up beast speed painter!! No doubt about it!! The only real complaint I have with some of your pieces is the odd blur effects. In some it really works to draw the focus, very nicely done. In others, one of your Samus pics namely, it takes away from the picture. The blur seems to be in odd areas in my opinion. Anyways, I'm pro artist, hell I'm not very good at all, but that is honestly the only thing I could see wrong with these epic pieces! Plus 100 internets to you!

No pro artist *
thanks for the kind words, guys. And yeah, idiot (sorry, it's your name). I plan on doing polished pieces if promo work is ever needed. I've gotten a dozen or so offers but I just haven't liked the subject matter enough to hop on.
Right now I'm focusing on speed mainly because I want color picking, lighting and composition to become second nature to me. I want to be one of those guys who can work on a painting for 15 minutes, but have everything in just the right spot so that you can instantly tell what it is. I haven't reached that level yet.
And yeah, I agree, I sometimes go overboard w/ the blur effects haha. In fact, in my recent Lilim drawing I re-uploaded it without them. Gotta stop abusing that convolve tool.

very nice pic, looks like a doll but also not.
How did you do that texture on her clothes, those lines. Did you paint those all by hand?
God invented evolution 'cause he couldn't do it all by himself! Awesome Tees!
