Who's had it done? How did you feel afterwards?
I had one today. Most people have certain side affects, but I didn't chipmunker up at all. I think I got lucky.
Well, I still have a throbbing headache. That part sucks.

I had both of mine pulled last summer, it wasn't bad, evidently in my state there's an anesthetic that most places have now that doesn't cause you to completely lose all control of your face, but still works just as well, I didn't feel a thing and I looked as normal as I usually do. Was pretty uneventful.
Seriously, who even reads these things anymore?

I had it done on January 10, 2008. It wasn't nearly as bad as all of the horror stories I heard/read beforehand and I didn't develop any problems like dry socket. My right cheek swelled up afterwards and I stayed on a purely liquid diet for the first two days. The swelling gradually went down and the stitches fully dissolved exactly a week later on the 17th.

Whatever you do, don't pass out from the pain.
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.

Unless they use an anesthetic, then by all means pass out.

It wasn't that bad, but I had oxycodone for it.
And the swelling doesn't really happen the first day. I wasn't swelled up at all until the third day.

They usually don't, so you feel the nerves inside your gums and teeth twitching and twisting and turning. Careful not to break any, the pain is tremendous by itself, that could only cause mass bleeding and ultimately anemia.
And if they do use anesthetic, careful not to let them put to much, or you might get put to sleep forever.

I had two of them removed from my bottom jaw and I hated it. Despite the sedatives, the removing of them felt pretty disgusting as I could still feel all the pulling, taste the blood and I heard some pretty sickening snapping and cracking sounds. Hopefully I'll never have to have my top two removed, although I doubt I'll be that lucky.

Also try not to feel to nervous in there, it'll only incready nervous activity thus augmenting the pain up to twice.
Best of luck, and try to tell them if you can't breathe at some point, as they usually don't notice and you can't talk, so many people suffocate and die there.

ditto. The taste and noises were the most annoying part.

When I had mine done it wasn't that big of a deal. My mouth was sore the rest of the day, but within a few days it was like they'd never been there. I think people make it out to be far worse than it is. People will say "Well mine were impacted so that made it worse", but almost everyone's are impacted. That's one of the main reasons they remove them. If you need it done then just get it done. It ain't no thang.

I've had 2 pulled so far (1 upper and 1 lower). They just numbed the area both times. You can feel them yanking and twisting it and the associated noises. The pain doesn't start until afterwards (it's not too bad). Both times I had to bite down on gauze for a few hours to stop the bleeding.
That's right I like guns and ponies. Problem cocksuckers?

I stocked up on pudding and applesauce, and spent the next two weeks watching nighttime TV to take my mind off the pain. (Bear in mind I didn't own a gaming console or laptop at the time.) Word of advice: beware channels with infomercials.
Also, EFFECTS, please.

Don't worry guys, if you're scared play Guile's Stage while you're getting your wisdom teeth removed so it will feel more epic than scary.

I only have one wisdom tooth and it doesn't need to be removed at all.

Bleh, I wonder if getting them pulled is as bad as it sounds. I have one on the top and I'm probably gonna have to get it pulled soon.

My wisdom teeth were removed in 2009 in 2 instances. The first one was horrible. I "chipmunkered up", as you call it and had agonizing pain for days. The pain killers didn't help one bit. It was the most physical pain that I ever endured until that day and I have yet to experience something worse. The second operation went better. Little pain and I didn't look like a ballon.
Without truth, there is no justice.

For those talking about how yours are fine, so were mine. The army or military in general doesn't like them. It makes them cry, apparently. So, if you want to join the navy or army or marines or whatever, know that first.
