People like to say that WoW players are total assholes, but it is easy to find a guild that is full of good guys who really want to help you get the most out of the game. You are always talking to each other about everything under the Sun. Sure, there are some assholes that play but it is pretty easy to surround yourself with good guys.
Girls just wanna have fun.

Whatever you do, dont go into a solo ranked queue. They will eat you out with poor grammar, shitty team work, and overall stupidity.

Ive played LoL for a while and well,
when i came to dota, it was like a paradise if you compare them.
Best: Uncharted series, MGO back when it was still active, and I guess to be vague I'd say the smaller online communities.
Worst: CoD- I shouldn't even have to say why.
Demon's/ Dark souls- I'm disgusted by the amount of elitist fags that encompass this community. The people that think they're masters for beating " teh hardestest game evah!!! " You try and point out any flaws in the game and you just get bombarded with " you're only saying that because you suck lol ".
Borderlands- Kinda iffy on this one. I wouldn't say the entire community is bad, but there are so many modders and overall douchebags, its enough to get it on the list.

GUITARISTS Awesome sig by Tateos.
Sonic: Gotten better, alot less pissing and moaning about the past. Thank you Generations.
Mass Effect: Aside from stupid indoctrination theories it's pretty chill.
Halo: Never encountered a cheater ONCE, most players are competent. Sure you have your occasional racist redneck trash but what online competitive community doesn't? Can't speak for halo 4 since I sold that game back in less then a month.
Left 4 dead: Speaking for the Xbox, the communtiy is not large for obvious reasons finding a game can take 30 minutes let alone making it to the end without the other team rage quitting, split screeners are a game breaker 95% of the time. Lot's of newbs play this game these days. The servers are freakin terrible 50% of the time full of glitches that mostly the hunter can expoilt. But you know what it's freakin addicting despite the many, many annoyances.
Capcom fighters in General: Elitist pricks left and right.
Fighting game communities are the worst. If you use the same move twice in a match they call you a spammer, complain if you ring them out (they're part of the game, man the fuck up) and of course they never shut up about how good they are.
Communism is a good idea on paper.
At 3/8/12 06:08 PM, The777Demon wrote: From my experiences here are some of the worst gaming communities i have played on.
RuneScape: That's what happens when a majority of the community are kids. Playing runescape is like going back to grade school and being the one kid with a bad mouth that everyone likes to tattle on. Even when you are not breaking the rules enough to get reported someone somewhere just in range of you has something to complain about. The only way to play this game is to be as politically correct as possible.
I can't agree more. I still love getting on every once and a while to relive some old memories of being at my friend's and playing together but the community itself is horrid. You will go to the Grand Exchange and just see people advertising websites for gold farming. You will be alone in say Varrock and say "oh damn I lost my sword" and let the shit hit the fan.
CastleCrashers: This community is only bad because very few people seem to know how to properly host a match, or they maybe some of them get boners over kicking everyone who joins their game. Quick match means welcome to a lobby for 5 secs before you get kicked. The sad thing is that they have private slots for a reason. I guess some people are just too retarded to actually use them.
DeadRising2: all of the problems of castle crashers times 10. Joining games is slow and most of the time you are going to get turned down. I can blame game design on this one. It's a great game but the way it is designed favors griefers. So most people are too paranoid to let anyone join. They don't want to have their game ruined by a griefer. Multiplayer also seems like more of a last minute thought.
Hit or miss communities for me. By that i mean games that can annoy you do to idiots in a community but not enough to quit playing.
Borderlands: people will either take loot you did more work for or never share any at all. They can be some real idiots in this game too that want to blame you for playing smart. It's funny yet annoying when someone runs into a group and gets their ass kicked, but then they get mad at you for not helping them because you will die. What else grinds my gears about this game.
Well if you play as Lileth guys will stare at your naughty parts. It get old fast too. I guess it's because there is no third person in this game. It's also awkward to have some guy stand in front of you facing you all the time. I know he's looking down my shirt but every time i attack him he refuses to duel me. Turning around and seeing someone behind you crouching is kind of disturbing as well. Come on gamers at least be subtle if you are going to be pervs.
Left 4 Dead: Either you have a good team or a bad one. Nothing is worse than being the one competent player on your team. Sooner or later you will need help. Nothing is a bigger slap in the face than being restrain once after saving everyone else repeatedly just to watch them walk around like idiots getting their asses kicked while you die. All you can do is watch helplessly and think about how unfair life can be sometimes. Seriously i got you uncoordinated, unaware, monkeys through the last2 two levels. Now the one time i finally need help in the entire game you are going to leave me and die like a bunch of retards.
Again I can't agree more. When I first played Left 4 Dead online I got a great team that worked together very well. But then my next game I got a team that as soon as we left the safehouse everybody spread and I almost immediately died. I also think when your a zombie on L4D there needs more teamwork since usually it's just run and go attack the survivors.
My best community.
Team fortress2: Maybe it's the way the game is designed. But i have almost no problem with the TF2 community. Well other than playing as the one class no one else wants to be because your team needs it. The only other problem i have are the exploiters. Other than that i can't think of much.
What are the best and worst communities you guys have seen? I wanna know what to stay away from and i need to find one that is as close to perfect as can be.
I don't have a PC so I'm not sure how great the PC version of Team Fortress 2 is. I do have The Orange Box and I must say even on XBOX 360 the community is great. No one gets on and just talks shit all the time. No one gets on and just runs out and goes lone wolf. Usually it's just follow Heavy and shoot or be Heavy and shoot.
Now it's time for me to give my opinions on communities the OP didn't talk about in his first post.
Assassin's Creed is another hit or miss community. Usually you can get on wait around 5 minutes to get to a match and then you go into a quiet match and kill Templars. But I got about 5 annoying people in 5 rounds in a row. They just walked around saying "Kill Him!"and then they would immediately get killed. It's usually just a nice Templar killing time with Assassin's Creed but sometimes it's not so perfect.
Dead Island's online can be such a pain. You'll be sitting there getting juice for the survivors and then all of a sudden "AnnoyingDouche" as joined and your back to the first quest and have some random guy following you around saying "Hey pick me up, I'm only all the way across the map". It can get annoying.
That is all I have to say about gaming communities that I've had some experience with.
worst online game community for me has to be ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 being called a faggot or spammer half the fucking time is annoying as shit. and when you rematch a dude and whoop his ass they ragequit after calling you a scrub.
Best: Guild Wars (from what I've played so far), Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Team Fortress 2 (over all), Demon's Souls, and the newgrounds game forums.
Worst: League of Legends (obviously).
Xbox live: C0n Queso
Steam: Baby Diesel

I'm going to retract my nomination of CoD being the worst community and agree with you on this.
Left 4 dead 2: Its fun and all, and I get where you come from with incompetent players but thats only campaign.
When you play versus or scavenge everyone is a fucking asshole. When they arent blaming each other they...continue blaming each other. Then kicking.
Chargers have to be perfect otherwise they bitch about 'wasting a charge' but I dont quite know what defines a good charge, I thought knocking a guy into a downed state when he WAS in green is a good charge, but I still got shit for it.
The fact im on PC makes it especially painstaking since theres nothing stopping anyone from calling you out and starting a flame war mid match. Then none of you start to like each other and refuse to help, meanwhile a boomer just vomited on everyone and people start rage quitting.
So yeah L4D2 versus mode in a nutshell; Full of assholes and babies.
Castle crashers: is bad for the same reason you mentioned. Good for you.
Uncharted 3: Mm competitive multiplayer, it always feels like organized chaos. Now that everyone can climb its even more organized. And since Uncharted as a whole is story based there are no 'noobs' everyone has an idea of what you can and cant grab and how to perform special executions.
Team fortress 2: I've rarely run into a match I can call 'balanced'. The ones that work however work fine. Either nobody wants to cooperate, or everyone decides it would be the best idea to all go one class. I.E. 5 spies and 3 snipers. Yeah that works :\
The problem with relying on a team is the fact you are relying on a team, and like any team theres always a group of assholes that wont listen.

That Scout is a Soldier!
I can safely say from experience that the League of Legends Community sucks.
As for good communities, I really can't answer that. I have not been around many other communities long enough to have an opinion yet.

You could argue the same thing about virtually any online game. Somewhere, even if you didn't get to join their ranks, there is always one clan of people who can work together well.
Putting TF2 above the others is just silly.
