So I wanted to buy those Kony 2012 posters for $5 online at the Invisible Children Store ...I think that 5 dollars for 25 posters is a fair price. But as I was going to check out I saw that it is $7 for standard shipping! Seriously?! I'm sure a lot of people who were going to support Invisible Children by buying those posters are not going to do it after they saw the shipping price... What do you think? Is it still worth it?

How optimistic. So you are basically saying that we shouldn't even try? Who is going to change the world if we don't do it, or at least try?

From what I heard, most of the money made only goes to movie productions and not to the actual cause. I wouldn't waste my money.

I read that 31% of the money goes to the actual cause, and the other 69% percent to the movie production. Now that they made the movie and reached public awarness all over the world, though, they aren't going to make another movie. And public awarness was one big step they had to take. If noone know, nobody is going to do anything against it, right? I don't think that after the movie 69% still go to another movie?!

Knowing about a problem and putting fliers around the whole fucking planet won't solve it. The government know about all crimes, they are the ones who fund and commit the crimes.

There is no 'problem', but the government like to create the 'problems' of the world to give them the power to take control of the masses. There's so much you can teach yourself by researching. I suggest maybe researching on the New World Order. Again just a suggestion, you have free choice on what you want to believe. I just wish more people would have more of an open mind rather than believe what mass media like to tells you.

There are organizations other than Invisible children that are actually working to help the kids in Uganda rather than making a bunch of full length movies. So I'm not sure. As far as I'm concerned, it's for a good cause.

It's not like I only watched the video.. I did do research. And yes, I'm not an expert by just reading articles, etc. But neither are you.

If you're serious about printing a poster to support the "cause," then I suggest you design your own (you can easily recreate them in Photoshop) and print it at a Xerox or something. I don't know anything about where you live, but in my country it costs a fraction of a dollar to print a single, large-scale, 300 gram poster.

If Invisible Children don't intend to profit from people's donations, they'd provide a free downloadable .pdf of their posters.

If you did proper research, I can tell you right now that you wouldn't be supporting the Kony cause.

Right? The only thing to get rid of kony isn't to capture and trial him. A Quick devastating military strike eliminated all threats including kony himself.

That's how its done. Not posters and youtube videos with liberals and humanitarians BAWWING its better to just kill him i

I'm not really into the whole Kony (I'm not against it though) but regardless if their plan works it's undeniably impressive that they got so many people from every corner of the world just work together for one cause with no government involvement. That alone is a huge step forward for the human race. Then if they take Kony down, then planet Earth's team spirit will be even higher. So you should at least consider that before saying it's all a waste. Anyways, atleast people are doing something about atleast one important issue. So if this works then next will be even bigger issues, and some day in the future uniting the planet as long as there isn't any major set backs. This whole thing could be alot more important than even the most hardcore supporters take it for.

you are going to let a $7 shipping fee get in your way because you have to go out of your convenience zone?

Here you go: free full size posters.

Like you, I was initially planning on buying a t-shirt from the online store in support of the cause but the price doubled when shipping was included so I pulled out (not exactly made of money these days).

Instead, me and a few others intend to take part in the poster campaign, targeting our university and then the capital city.

I find it hilariously that people complain about a 7$ shipment fee. I think that's more then fair, in fact I think it's a fair price.

Stop believing what they tell you and don't give them money. Funding abuse is bad.

Paying $25 for an American Apparel, standard cut, graphic printed t-shirt (i.e incredibly basic, unfashionable and probably going to end up being used as leisurewear) in support of what I deem a good cause is a-ok by me. I make enough money to cover bills and can afford the odd splurge every now and then.

Paying $25 dollars for an American Apparel...etc and then paying $30 for shipping (none of which would go to said good cause) and then paying 3% tax (despite the fact I don't live in America) is stretching my budget too far.

Call me a penny-pinching prude but whatevs.

How is it better than doing nothing? And yes training yourself to do that is better than sitting behind a desk posting pictures and info about Kony.

because nothing is nothing, so therefor is the best, worst or most normal option to take. In this scenario doing nothing aint exactly the worst thing you could but its not the best, actaully helping the people bring this man to justice is a better thing to do and anyway to support that (raising awarness, funding them) is a better option is what im saying.

I said average citizen you dumbfuck, a few online matches in call of duty doesnt make people into soldiers, even if they had the time and money, some people just dont want to fight/kill or die and you must accept that fact. We dont need an army of crazed armed citizens to take down kony, just funding the people who are already hunting him down.

but im still concerned to wether invisable children can be trusted, there has been some critism towards them but I dont have all the evidence, but getting people involved in helping take down some of the worlds most wanted criminals is still good because then the result of it would mean they would be more liekly to get involved into the other charitys that help the sick, the young, the uneducated and the poor.
