Haven't had any problems with the ads, so no problems from Oceania. Come to think of it, with Newground's busier background, I've just been blocking out the ads mentally altogether as of late.

Now using Adblock is different. Different, because it is worse.

You see, hosting websites costs money. A LOT of money. The more visitors Newgrounds gets, the more energy the servers use and the more they need to pay. However, if all visitors see these small and (usually) unobtrusive advertisements, the website pays for itself and Tom can eat.

Now when you visit the website with the advertisements disabled, you are using the content that costs Newgrounds money to make, you are taking the bandwidth that costs money as well, but you are NOT earning them the money they deserve.
This is theft.

If you love Newgrounds, or if you love the internet. Stop using Adblock.

I see ads with the little sound symbol on them and play buttons too I think. But they ner start automatically for me.

Also adblock makes Tom sad. I never use adblock on this website. No.matter how many ads are put in.

You don't know how long I have been here my child, you do not know. I wouldn't brag with 2008 either, it's not impressive yet. And Tom won't be shut down because of a collection of Ad Block users, he is a successful man, so do not worry about his wallet and worry about your own.

I'm pretty sure it loads a random add when you refresh the page. But I've been getting adds with sounds on newgrounds too. It really sucks, especially when you're watching a movie and the add starts playing with sounds that's 10 times louder then the movie.
