I heard that charity organisation had been copped out for spending more money on salaries than helping those affected by Kony.

How will puting this Kony guy to jail help anyone? The only thing that will happen is: a new dictator will rise and take over Kony's place. Not to mention that 1st world countries have started most of the wars and profting from them. As much as I don't want this Kony 2012 thing to be a total waste of time, it is.

I'm a bit sceptical towards this Kony thing. It smells like self-promotion and a lot of dirty omitted details to me!

Am I the only one who thinks that committing troops, equipment, time, effort, and money to capturing one man whose army has been split into multiple groups spread out through the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, and South Sudan, might not be such a good idea?

I mean, sure, Kony is a bad guy and does a lot of bad stuff, but that doesn't mean that we should ignore all the reasons why mounting a manhunt spanning three countries in Africa is bad idea. I mean really, since when is one African warlord worth that much manpower? Or *gasp* perhaps the Kony 2012 supporters have simply neglected to consider the cost of such an operation?

I supported he's idea and also I'm getting the action kit! :D

I honestly don't know how to feel about this. Shit like this has been going on long before this bastard Kony and the response to this video gives the impression that 40,000,000 + people including celebrities like Will Smith were oblivious or didn't give a damn until some guy made a campaign about it. Like it wasn't important until some extremely sentimental video was made.

So yeah I finished it and whatnot. I support their cause and how they plan to do it but plastering an entire city wall to wall? Eh. Yeah not big on that. Unfortunately this feels like a fad, it went viral two days ago but it will die and people will forget. And so to make sure that doesn't happen it's crucial we capture him immediately. If this campaign is going to be a one hit wonder as I predict, it may as well be an absolute knock out punch.

Watching a 30 minute video about Joseph Kony does not make me an activist. I did not watch the video and I'm only half an activist!

Yes. It is bullshit. Really, total, bullshit. And I can see through the bull now.

Very obvious scam directed toward naive, wannabe-activists.

Donating to this "cause" will see about 32% of your dollar going to the ACTUAL country, the rest of it paying for salaries and traveling fees for the Invisible Children executives. And, of that 32%, there's little chance the money will even get to the children you are trying to help.

Also, this situation in Uganda cannot be solved by a bunch of teenagers screaming at Congress and forcing them to capture Kony. Even if this guy (who has been well known by the people who can do anything about it for some time) was captured, the problem would not be solved entirely. The region is so complex, it is almost offensive how simplified this video and all propaganda from IC is.

DO NOT support this money harvest. Research for yourself. You might even find that just about EVERYONE is using child soldiers - not just this big bad wolf Kony.
