What's so great about Stephen Colbert? He has some good guests but he's not too amusing if you ask me. I haven't seen the show much though so I'm not the right person to judge either.

He can be pretty clever sometimes. His segment, "The WORD." is pretty sharp witted.

True. I quite enjoy Stephen's satire as well, I don't think he's ever stepped out of character on his show.
