Hey, any Rift players here?
So, I played the closed beta ages ago. It was a bit glitchy and I had a short attention span. Got a couple levels deep and quit.
Now it's been quite a while, I was wondering:
How does it compare to WoW?
Is it fun?
Has it improved?
My friend tried to get me into it, I played it for a bit on his PC and only got through the tutorial. it seemed pretty good, but MMOs aren't my thing.
He really likes it and talked about it a lot when he first got it. Don't know anything else about the game though. It has a 84/100 on metacritic, The Old Republic has a 85/100. I'd say the community is defiantly smaller than the other MMOs out there.
Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the alps?
I think I remember it used to be subscription based, but it's now Free-2-play. I think it was anyway, or this is a new version called 'lite' or something. I started downloading it a while back, but got bored waiting and played some online games instead.
So it's f2p now, or there's at least a f2p version of it so it wouldn't hurt to try it out yourself.
