Tomboy Or Girly Girl? 2012-03-04 20:09:35 Reply

I posted this back a few months ago, and just want to see what responses I'd get this time around. So who would you prefer to date? A Tomboy, or a Girly Girl? Although the examples may not be the best, they'll suffice.

So there already is a thread like this? Made by you?
I don't see the point of this thread.

It was like 7 months ago. It was posted on another account that was deleted. People probably don't remember it.

That picture is a terrible example.

TomBoy: Body of a malnurished twelve year old, vacant facial expression, HotTopic hair and wardrobe, pale as fuck, nails are ugly, nothing is matching, Aeropostale jeans, fake RayBan style shades, dirty earphones, massive forehead.

GirlyGirl: Fine as fuck, fat ass, loves the black dick, nice lips, good make up, tan, looks healthy, wealthy, positive attitude, beautiful smile, lip glossing is popping, beautiful dark healthy silky hair, wardrobe is on point.

GirlyGirl : Materialistic, Clingy, Superficial, Viewed as a Sex Object.
Tomboy : Laidback demeanour, Doesn't try too hard, Humble, still good in bed.

Tomboys because they look like kids but i'm not a pedophile for thinking they're hot.

Just kidding

Eye dart

But yeah, I prefer tomboys. They're just more fun to be around and, in my opinion, usually more attractive. I'd rather women not wear a pound of makeup and enough eyeliner to paint a building. The one you posted looks like a hot topic bitch, though.

Girly girls, because I like seeing cute girls that take care of their appearance. But I also like girls that speak for themselves.

I think you chose a bad example of tomboy. Tank girl is tomboyish, and a much better example.

Never seen an attractive one that genuinely enjoys gaming, some goodlooking girls game but more casually, certainly not enough to be deserving of the title 'gamer.'

In reading over this thread, I began to wonder. What would happen if the girl changed clothes? Why is there so much dependency on appearance as if that would indicate personality at all?

Because picky-ly applied makeup, fancy hair style, and a clearly well thought out outfit implies that the girl is prissy and girly, while a lazyish appearance implies being laid back and boyish. A girly girl on a lazy day could probably pass for a tomboy.

It's like a uniform, almost. There's no real proof that it has anything to do with their personality, it's just up to you to deduce what it might mean about them.

Has it ever occurred to you that some people simply don't need to try hard? They rely solely on their genuine looks and physique, which is sufficient enough to make them appear desirable. They are the type of individuals who don't seek others approval. They are comfortable with themselves and don't need to conceal their flaws. They don't rely on superficial things to try and make themselves look good. They live for themselves and aren't interested in being put on pedestals. Additionally, having a laidback demeanour doesn't imply not giving a shit about anything. It just means that you're not the type of person to take trivial matters and blow them out of proportion. Being laidback means that you live for the moment, you seek every opportunity in the world to improve your life and you are just genuinely comfortable with life.

As do I but a great wardrobe is just an augmentation to the apparent. An ugly hoe is going to be ugly regardless of whether she's rocking Trus are not. No amount of make up or clothing can transform you entirely, but I like the thought of my girlfriend or whoever I'm meeting up with at the time to look as if they put some effort into their appearance.

That's for friends and significant other.

They are the type of individuals who don't seek others approval.

And some people like to dress good and gussy up for themselves.

They are comfortable with themselves and don't need to conceal their flaws.

Like most people I know, I don't see how having nice clothes means someone is insecure and flawed? Maybe they just like nice clothes.

They don't rely on superficial things to try and make themselves look good.

See the above.

They live for themselves and aren't interested in being put on pedestals.

Generally being put on a pedestal depends on how goodlooking or charismatic you are in the first place. No money can give you that.

Additionally, having a laidback demeanour doesn't imply not giving a shit about anything. It just means that you're not the type of person to take trivial matters and blow them out of proportion.

We're going entirely on aesthetics, are we not? Otherwise your image would have no relevance here. If someone is laidback about their appearance than they aren't putting in more effort than necessary, a turn off for me.

Being laidback means that you live for the moment, you seek every opportunity in the world to improve your life

lol whut?

and you are just genuinely comfortable with life.

I suppose girly girls and people who take any sort of time to improve their appearance must not be all that comfortable with life.

I'm a tomboy I guess. I wear both guys and girls clothes, but mostly womens, just whatever I like. And no makeup. And I would probably prefer another tomboy, girly girls tend to be idiots and too focused on their looks. But not someone that looks like a man..

It's not only a matter of being comfortable with life, it's about being comfortable with yourself. A person who devotes an incredibly ridiculous amount of time on refining their physical appearance and constantly trying to make themselves look good is just somebody that's not entirely happy with themselves and is always seeking a way to try and fill the void of inadequacy within them. If they truly didn't care about their physical appearance and what other people thought of them, they wouldn't bother investing so much time on making themselves look so good. Some people just need minimum effort when it comes to it, at least that's how I perceive it. Feeling comfortable in your own skin regardless of what you wear is the best feeling ever. It allows you to feel liberated, and comfortable knowing that what you are on the outside is representative of you. You don't need superfluous things to define you. At least you'll know who you are at the end of the day.

Unless you're ugly it doesn't take a ridiculous amount of funds or time to make yourself look good. Going shopping, getting your haircut/shaped up, tanning, working out, applying makeup, these things aren't all that time consuming.

Caring about your physical appearance =/= Caring what others think

I feel good knowing I look good. I also enjoy receiving positive attention from everyone around me for being a pretty bitch, is that so wrong?

I look good regardless of what I wear, but when I look this good why should I dress like I don't have money to spend?

Not everyone who looks good is defined by their swag, but it does play as big a part in their lives as their good looks and their hair. It's just something people enjoy, it doesn't make them arrogant or materialistic. Even the most dull looking tom boys would enjoy shopping.

At least you'll know who you are at the end of the day.

Lol, what the fuck?
