i just bought the new edition of new vegas that included all the dlc for it and a spiffy new ultimate title. it never was featured in any game magazines or anything. when in the hell did it just pop out of thin air? is it really "ultimate" for just including the 4 dlc with it? do u think it should have had something other than just dlc, maybe more locations/ expanded map in the main game?

I suppose they wanted to do something like FO3's Game of the Year edition, but had to make up something as impressive as "Game of the year" for the title.
You look nice today.
This guy brutally sodomizes me.
Cereal is pretty cool. If you're cool you'll add me on Steam. Also, Letterboxd.

It came out in february, but I only read about it on the Vault/Nukapedia. As for the title, it really is the "ultimate" edition in germany at least, because it is the very first Fallout game/version to be released 100% uncut here.
Other than that it has the 4 main DLCs as well as all the pre-order packs (The ones that give you some bonus equipment when you start a new game) and Gun Runner's Arsenal, which is a mini-DLC with over 20 new moddable weapons.

New Vegas was shit. Even with the DLC, your game still ended once you finished the main story. I liked a few of the new weapons, but other than that, Fallout 3 was superior in every way.
Hell, I still play Fallout 3 to this day. I must have beaten it six times. Fallout New Vegas I played through four times (to get all the different endings) but then got bored with quickly.
They're making a Fallout MMO though. I just hope they make it in D.C. rather than Vegas.

Actually Bethesda got the rights for a Fallout MMO given abck to them and since they never wanted one to begin with, its not going to happen. I'm personally pretty pissed about that.

I heard Fallout 4 was being developed but I cannot recall by who. I won't lie, I'd buy and play it regardless of who made it or where it was set or if it were an MMO. I'm such a fan of the post apocalyptic genre.
As for the DLC, they were good. Nothing phenomenal but enjoyable. I got the collectors edition or whatever when it came out, with the poker chips etc. Downloaded the dlc later through evil Steam.

If it happens its going to be made by Bethesda since they own all the rights to Fallout. InterPlay only has the right to sell Fallout: Tactics and Fallout 2 products up until December 13th of this year I believe, then those become property of Bethesda as well.

Ultimate/GOTY editions are pretty profitable for developers so I think in general people are happy with them.
Some people actually don't buy the game until the ultimate edition comes out even.

A bit of a shame since from the looks of it I'd assume they had done a lot of work on it.
The same thing happened with the original Fallout 3 / Van Buren.
I'm sure that if Van Buren was actually released and they didn't have to scrap it then everyone would have loved it.
