StrawberryClock uploaded a flash animation which was just a red letter B on a white background. He had already done the letter A but it got blammed.

That random letter B was what started all of the flash-crew shenanigans on Newgrounds. Since there have been dozens if not hundreds of said crews in the past, as well as the present (and thousands of flashes to their names), it's a pretty big part of the site's history.
