Regardless of how the the y chromosome works, I've always thought that views like that make the people who hold them seem like they are fighting fire with fire. Even IF that was true, I don't see how that would benefit women. If men are a supposed 'biological accident' that will cease to exist in the future, then women should be thankful that accident occurred, and be frightened at the prospect of men disappearing. Many studies show the world would be in chaos if only one sex existed. Both are needed for balance. I'm not even going to go into the whole 'how would people have procreated to begin with if men were a biological accident that formed from women?' That's a whole other topic, though.

I'll admit I don't know much about this so I'm hesitant to say much on it, but I think there is a lot of debate about this. If you're talking about the decline in amount of males born in ratio to females in certain regions of the world, deformities, and lowered sperm count and quality, a lot of studies are showing that the fault of this are chemicals in the things we use, pesticides and chemicals in the food we consume, and to some degree chemicals from hormonal contraceptives leeching into the water supply. Not necessarily because of the Y chromosome itself, but the chemicals we've introduced to our lives over the past fifty or sixty years.

I could be wrong though because like I said, I really know very little on this subject matter.
