Hello newgrounds. I thought it would be good to start my online presence here, since there are many, many people that use this site. Most of my work is inspired by the Pop Art movement, and also by a group of graphic designers called Bicicleta Sem Freio.
Here's an artwork to get things started off.
My process involves first a hand-drawn sketch, which I then scan into the computer. I use Adobe Illustrator from there to ink and colour.

Sup brother.
Nice art, man, and hell its always sweet to add into the pool of variety that we've got going here. Diggin' the pop art stylistic simplicity, but I would say that with both her arms bent that far back her spine would be suffering like no other fuckin' thing, you dig it? Usually a lil' flow helps with that - in this her spine and torso would be bending to her right to compensate for her hair brushing movement.
Unless that was the look you were going for. Anyhow, digging the crab claw and welcome to this here motherfucking forum.

That.. looks really nice. I'm bothered by the way her right arm is bending and how the crab claw is connected to her elbow, but I'm pumped to see more by you.

Haha yeah, I see what you are saying. I was trying to make her look like she was pushing her chest out a bit, but because of that left arm she looks like she's straining herself. Thanks man, for the comment.
Mhm, the arm with the claw does seem to have a disconnect between the elbow and claw itself. It helps if you visualize the purple sleeve as her upper arm, the first bi-section of the claw as her forearm, and the actual claw itself as a wrist bent over.
Also, here is another piece, a little older than the first.

Thank you! I shall keep it coming, this is the current artwork I'm working on.
Alright, it is getting quite late, 2:20 in the morning where I am. This is what I have done so far. Man, the shirt creases were time consuming. I'll finish this tomorrow.
Ok the finished version of what I was working on last night is uploaded on my page.
Jokes, its not that long.
I changed the colour scheme from what I had originally planned. I went for a more subdued cherry red and pink with a dull cream skin tone.

I like where this ended up a lot, it pops and the colour scheme is fun and sexeh.
The one problem I have with it is that I like the simplicity/poppiness of it, but you have a few awk lines that don't really fit in due to the simplicity of it, basically all the ones that are just a slightly darker version of the skin colour (by the armpit, shoulder, back of hand). They almost seem out of place and distracting because they're adding detail only in a few select places, so it makes the rest of the piece seem too undetailed in comparison, which then defeats the coolness of the piece. Also, maybe it's just me, but I'd take the stroke off of the highlight of the shirt. It doesn't really fit. Also, speaking of highlights, I'd take the highlight colour you have on the edge of her face/arm and apply it to a lil more of her skin, seems a little flat at the moment.
I took some more liberties and put in a few more shades to the body and I splotched in a background too. So now there are two versions of this piece.
You may have seen the simple vector art I did for the turtle thread on the art forum, but I decided to give it more colour and shading. The full sized and higher quality art can be seen at the link below. What is posted here is the comparison of the original vector I did and the coloured version I did also.
It started off as a simple vector drawing, inspired by a thread on the art forum challenging the viewers to draw a turtle. I went a little more, adding some colour and shading to the original vector.
Which do you like better?
Hey, im still around, trying to get another piece done for my art portal page. This one is a pixel art, completely opposite from the other things which were vector.
Again working on the pixel art. I flipped it upside down to work with the proportions and shading.
Another update, I've revised the shading and gone into the cleaning process as well. Zoomin' in on them pixels.
Now is where the really time-consuming and pain staking pixel planting begins. Well, at least I'm staring at something pleasing for hours on end.
This isn't the large female pixel art I was working on, but it was a smaller side project.
Pixel art. Yes, she's armless :) Venus de Milo anyone?

Thanks man, but you gotta admit. Its mostly awesome because of the boobs. ;)
More progress on the larger pixel art. I'm getting kinda tired of it, I might put it aside and do something else for a bit then come back to it. Maybe I should do some subject matter that doesn't involve females?
I've gotta admit, everything I've shown thus far has been digital art. Here's a thing I was doodling in my sketchbook. I happened to have a 2H pencil and a pink pen. IDK if you guys wanna even see this stuff.

Uh it looks like the picture didn't upload? I'll try again.
Don't worry I've still been working on this.
Managed to pull it together.
Pixeled breasts? Why not.
I tried to do some animation with that pixeled girl. Just a little prodding and bounce test. Its by no means good. First try at animated spriting with this stretch and pull technique - kinda like what Pokemon Black and White did with the Pokemon constantly moving yet their sprites are really just stretching and contorting. With small sprites it looks horrendous, but with larger ones like this, it looks passable I guess. I hope the animation actually works on the forums.
Just a side note, if a moderator see this, perhaps it would be appropriate to put a 'NSFW' tag in the Topic title, since the works in this thread are getting progressively, y'know, not safe for work.
Alrighty I started a new large pixel project.

Here's some more work on it. I've taken a better approach that most tutorials recommend, which is getting a perfectly clean lineart first before pixeling in the colour. This should save me time and energy so I'm not constantly correcting anatomical mistakes after I've started applying colour.
Why would you do such a thing?
I've lost any respect I had for you.
