obviously, whoever jumped to the conclusion that 10% of the med students have engage in sex work is an idiot.
suppose there is one student who is involved in sex work and everybody knows him, so 100% of the med students have engaged in sex work right?

Maybe read the article a little more next time.
It says that 1 in 10 medical students who were questioned know of a peer who engaged in sex work. You can't draw any legitimate conclusions from that about how many are actually prostituting themselves.
