3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI think that in a professional situation such as school or a work environment people's opinions should remain neutral unless it's of something of important matters... like spending all of the companies finances on cocaine and chicken farms. But on something like this, it's probably best to keep your mouth shut, because no matter what you say, someone's gonna get pissed off.
But I think the political correctness phase is sortof important right now, atleast for a little while longer, because alot of people are still making absurd remarks regarding matters that shouldn't be regarded (O_o)
Studies have proven that your sexual preferance is decided before your born, therefore God himself has decide your sexuallity. It stands to reason that saying homosexuallity is wrong, is to say that God was wrong in making them that way.
Bad Wolf
He just has his own opinions. Regardless schools are meant for education and it is disturbing that a principal would be discussing topics like this about his own students instead of just doing his job. That and his methods are wrong. It doesn't help anyone to state things like this. If he was trying to help people it would be okay. (just not in the school)
Christianity and God are so good! They want the best of us! You are all going to hell for being gay!
At first I figured this was more bullshit from the WBC, but it isn't (nonetheless it sounds like most of that town shares the WBC's views anyway).
She won't be there much longer.
That's right I like guns and ponies. Problem cocksuckers?
Politically correct is anything that leftists believe.Politically incorrect is anything common sense. IMPEACH OBAMA.
It is quite disappointing how many people are saying "it's freedom of speech" and her "own opinion" when she said gay students are going to go to hell. First of all, it is not her job to alienate her students, making them feel like worthless, lowlife crap. It is to raise them in an environment where they feel like they could be successful in life. Giving hateful speech and declarations to her students unnecessarily is definitely against how one principal should actually conduct their job. And if you guys haven't noticed, freedom of speech does not actually exist in schools anyway. Students are restricted from speaking their mind or speaking at all once a central authority appears. This is also true for staff, for staff are not allowed to say anything unnecessary that might have negative repercussions onto a student. You may think it's America and there's tons of freedoms of speech, well there isn't. There are jobs that require you not to spew hateful speech, especially a principal's job. If you can't go by the job, then you will get fired. That's how jobs work in America.
Second of all, the woman was not going to be fired because of her opinion. In fact, what she said was not even an opinion. She said "gay students will go to hell" or something along the lines of that and made it a complete declaration, not an "I think gay students will go to hell according to my religion" opinion. There is a clear difference between the bigoted/homophobic statement and the sincere opinion. Even then, if she was to spout her opinion, it would also be clearly hateful and intolerant because she was never even asked about her opinion of gay/pregnant people in the first place. What she said was out of the blue and completely unneeded, especially in a diverse environment like a school, where people who don't deserve to be treated that way, are.

If the principal talked out about how much he hated black people, people would be up in arms about it. Why is it okay when you replace "black" with "gay"?
Can you feel it mister Krabs?

A lot of people still think they don't really exist and the ones that do and are tolerable don't believe they been through as much shit in history as blacks so they don't deserve as much defense.
For a principle of a school that was pretty stupid. There's a time and place to express religious beliefs, on the job is not one of them has she forgotten its against the law for a person in a school position to express religious belief. She should've at least been smart about it and use the" because I say so" or it's " inappropriate to others" excuse.
She deserves to get fired for not using her head before opening her mouth.

On top of that racism is more intolerable then sexual orientation because majority of America is straight.

obviously the principal is in the wrong, but is it so bad to express your honest personal beliefs?
i kind of have a feeling that political correctness is getting "to" americans...
well he express his belief so what the problem?
The bloke is right to his opinion, but to express it in the sort of way is heavily against the ethics of his job. I understand everyone has 'free speech' but that does not mean you won't face the consequences of saying what you like.
That is unprofessional and unacceptable in American culture today.
Also, why are some people referring to the principal as a "he", when the principal is actually a woman? Maybe people should watch the video before they can make their final conclusion and judgement of the situation.
