Which is false.

You didn't cover anything - As long as it's your own lyricism and stuff, it IS NOT a cover.

Learn some things - Just keep doing what you do I guess. I'm just here to teach, or something.

I was just using cover for lack of better words. I guess i could have said " We Rhymed over the beat(s) from such and such....". I get where you're coming from. I didnt think you'd really take me saying cover that literally though. I cant really think of anyone who "covers" hip hop songs in your aspect of it. Kinda pointless. Other than to branch it out of the hip hop genre.

Rappers to do covers of greats with altered or entirely different lyrics all the time but its generally frowned up or dispicable to entirely recycle other artists beats. I understand if that you don't have your own guy for that and you're just some kids fooling around. But if you reuse instrumentals you're technically not a hiphop group or artist. I don't know what else to tell you.

What part of "We're releasing an EP of ORIGINALS in the spring but in the meantime we went over some familiar instrumentals for people to listen to".

What good is it to release an EP with no fan base, or at least a start?

I seriously must have stated that 3-4 times at LEAST in this thread. Is it that hard to comprehend or do you people skim read?

Put out original demos? Like everyone else does? Rapping over someone elses beat doesn't look like puting in much effort. And showing effort is pretty important when you're trying to show people what kind of artist you are without completely original work being out. Its not a good look.

We're releasing an original this weekend. We just put these tracks up within the last 10 days. This all JUST happened. I dont think going over a couple familiar instrumentals in the meantime is hurting anyone. You realize spring is like 20 days away? Our EP is near done, we have one song left to record. So thats why we started doing all of this recently is because the EP is about to be a wrap. I really hope you take the time to stay posted and check out the originals. I'd like the hear what you have to say.

It's all right, though I don't hear anything distinctive in your rapping. Maybe it's just me.

The YouTube channel you linked is great. Locus has pretty good beats, though I'd suggest to add a bit of variety, because in the end, they sound kind of monotonous.

Take it with a grain of salt, because rap ain't my school

Wow I'm actually pretty impressed, the lyrics were pretty sick and the beats were even better.

Idk if any of you have heard of these guys but check them out...kind reminded me of them.

Fall in love :You need pull back the background singers voice cause it's hard to hear the lyrics especially when she "OOOOH"S aside from that its my second favorite one.

No Ideas Original: I like it pretty much about being on top of your game.

Dead presidents: Love the beat and the chorus is awesome.

Say You Will: This right here is your best fucking song! Beats hot and lyrics kick so much ass and ended STRONG "So raise the Glasses cause here to raise the fucking standards." I would've gone "OOOOH"!!! But baby bro sleeping. Only thing I would change is pulling back the "beeps" and "boops" and make them more haunting like a droplet of water falling into a lake and spreading gradually, hope that makes sense.

I'd personally recommend you guys there's plenty of room in audio submissions here. Great album overall

8/10

You're using stereotypical, cliched black street slang. The only people who use that shit are either blacks or people trying to sound black. The "people being black" thing doesn't bother me; I just think it's dumb when you try to act like something you aren't by layering the cliches on.

No one speaks perfect, politically correct English. White, black, puerto rican, asian, etc. It's fucking called slang. Blacks are not the only ones who use slang. Every one does. I'm positive you do.

I want to start by saying that this is way better than a lot of the shit I hear on the radio right now, but I'm really old school and stuck in a particular era as far as hip hop is concerned.

I had your stuff playing in the background while I was animating, so you passed that test because I never had to get up to skip a track. "I'm Waiting" is your best track. I caught myself nodding my head to it. I liked "Say You Will" also, but you lose points for rhyming 'liar' with 'liar'. I catch them doing that on the radio a lot and it really annoys me.

the only major thing that I didn't like is that I've been hearing those same tracks used on every mixtape since the beginning of time, ESPECIALLY dead presidents.

But yeah, I would pay money for this if you where selling cd's out your trunk in a grocery store parking lot.

Wow dude, thats awesome to hear. Believe it or not "I'm Waiting" was the first track we'd recorded about a year ago. But im glad to hear it passed the test. We'll be dropping our EP of originals in the spring so if you wanna stay tuned, I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Different kinds of slang and dialect are associated with different people, though. You're spouting what comes across as very cliched stereotypical black slang. It's painful to observe because of how obviously forced it is.

I am me. You are you. For you to tell me that im trying to act black when i know that i'm not just insults me. I like being white, it's fine. I wouldn't want to be black. If i had a choice, i'd re-up on being white every year. I'm content. Nothing against the blacks, but I'm solid where i'm at.
