Oh, right.

What other genres do you listen to? Personally, I'm in to Alternative Rock (Korn, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ancubus, blah, blah, blah). Those bands don't fuck you over, that's for sure.

I know an easy(but not inexpensive) way to get songs from a Cd with copy protection. Buy or download the demo of Sound Forge.(Most of you NewGrounds users will just get software from a P2P software program tho). And in Sound Forge, there is an option somewere called extract music from cd. And then you can extract each track you want and save it to your Hard Drive. And I think no Copy Protection will work. Also with Sound forge you can burn songs onto a cd and make it work with PS2/Xbox!

In all fairness, it's not the bands but the record companies and distributers who put that rubbish on CDs. Still, your better off without air; may I suggest Relationship of Command by At the Drive In if you don't already have it?

On the plus side, maybe this will encourage you to support small independant labels like Ipecac in the future. They have some cool stuff like the latest Tomahawk record and indeed the first one as well - on the latter check out God Hates A Coward, it's a thunderously good tune.

Do you have your brains stuck in your ass? Do you honestly think that a record company likes that people want their money back, for cd's that don't work the way they should? That gets them into more trouble then they allready are! Copy protection is an act of despiration, because of the loss of income. I'm not saying it's the RIGHT way, because offcourse your cd has to work on all players, and the people who developed the protection, should have developed it better, so that it plays on all media playes.

The point is that downloading your music is NOT the way to get better quality cd's it will only make things worse, untill no music comes out anymore at all.

I have no choice but to use my comp because my cd player is AWOL. I don't usually have any problems with running cds on computer - Just it autoloads windows media player.

if the cds didn't work then coulden't you just return them for your money back?

Wow. I really hate it when people say that. It reminds me of a dick I used to know.

Capitalism is horrible, but this is hardly related. It's just money-grabbers, that would exist in Socialist and Communist societies, too.

Does seem to work, I think, and the RIAA does suck...

Meh, the only thing that they make you want to do by preventing piracy is making us want to download it illegally anyway l;ol

Wow that sucks! The future of music is corporations trying out proprietary anti-copying systems, destroying music in the process... and then going out of business as listeners turn to labels that just make working music! It's almost like these "episodic gaming" systems where you buy a game in 4 installments of $30 a piece, making 120 dollar games you can only get through download and that don't work. If it ain't pleasing customers, it ain't gonna last!
