Did I reference the plot at all?
... Yes? In the exact line I quoted? I'm 99% sure that's from the plot of the movie.
Does basing a film on classical literature excuse it from all criticism? It's amazing Scar long aspired to be king of the Lion pride, which in reality requires the fuck all responsibility of allowing your lionesses to hunt and sleeping all day which is exactly what Scar did, but because he's evil the Pride Lands dry up and die.
Since when is more responsibility a prize? I like to think being the top of the pack is the end state of anyone ambitious.
If you somehow included these movies but not the new Star Wars... I can't imagine your opinion is valid on much in life. It's easy to shit on the new Star Wars films. Aspirations were high and Lucas was competing to best James Cameron at the box office. He attempted to use the new special effects available to him to wow his new audience. Can't fault the man for trying, can you?
Wait for it...
Can you teach me to ignore faults in popular films simply because a lot of people like them?
Can I PLEASE just refer you to your statement above.
The hypocrisy is completely nauseating.
Can't fault the man for trying, can you?
Let's ignore faults because of big budgets instead, I guess.
Don't like movies because they're popular, obviously, but you're effortlessly disliking them because they are, in fact, popular.
