Yeah, look maybe the execution is bad and I'm working on it. But I think the concept is interesting. Great, scary crotch, got it. So bear with me here, worse case I don't make the collab and you can step up to the plate. But if i'm going down it's tooth and nail. I can make this work. There's plenty of time.

Spags, using GIMP, the lines look smooth until it gets Jpeg'd. I got a few ideas and I'm going to take your advice, now that I understand what you meant.

Here's what I have so far... Is this fine, or should I scrap it? I was in a plague doctor mood.

WIP. I can not seem to get a smooth line to save my life, so I'm going to try Sai and some other suggestions. I realize I will most likely have to remake this from scratch but the concept will be the same. This WIP is more of a sounding board as in: does the brighter shirt color work? crotch and butt tummy better? So I have a better idea of what to avoid what seems to be working.

I like it for the most part, although I think it could have a better color scheme.
Also, that crotch.... still needs work :P

I feel like I am letting people down but I am going to have to back out for personal reasons a lot of stuff has come up that I need to do, sort out or be there for and its going to limit my time I can work on this project. I think because of this the standard of my work will not be adequate for the collab. So can you please open up my emotion again.

Wow ...So that's 27 ,that looks really cool though I don't exactly see much of the actual confusion on your concept ... maybe it's more on the emphasis of where the face is directed?

I have no idea how use Sai, and paint dot net wants me to download everything but the program I was dubious. So right now, I'm stuck with GIMP. WIP progress so far looked at fat people. Saw the pudge roll I was looking for. I was not that far off. Adjusted that. Tried to hide the crotch, looking at said fat people pics the moose knuckle I had before was kinda accurate but none the less scary. Type in "wall martians" sometime. Anywhoo, the pixelated shirt lines vex me. So still got some things to clear up, I hope the I'm not pestering you with the WIPs, but you guy's input helps me out a lot and I would like to think it shows.

Whatever the hell this is, I'm pretty sure it's expressive enough.

Not got much to show you guys at the moment, college work is being an arse and taking all of my time. I thought it was best to at least show a thumbnail of what I've already got. Past this there isn't much done at all, but don't worry it shall be done by the deadline :), easily. Anyway, what we have here is as follows:

Basically what I have gone for is a punk guy with :/ face. Not to sure about the mouth or eye that I have currently got, these may and up being changed.

like I said i"m basically just proving that i'll still in with this.

Sorry for the double post but I have managed to get a lot more done. It is still a WIP and needs a lot more doing to it but it's getting there. I'm still not happy with the mouth and I think that it could be changed to make look more like the emoticon in question. Anyway here we go:

Yeah, that's the next thing that I'm working on. After that just a background (which will tie into the emoticon more) and I have already finished the hair. Unfortunatly I most likely won't be able to get anymore done for the next couple of days, probably not until monday.

It's coming along though. I'm quite happy with this piece so far.

Work in progress. I sketched it out. It's a drawing of the emote of my tablet and I used Sharpie instead of my stylus. I'm going to do a digital version next...

To be honest, I don't really see any relevance between your emoticon and this picture. I'd advise you to scrap it and pick something more relevant. You are capable of making something that would meet the standard, but this just doesn't really make any sense.

Don't worry it'll make sense when it is complete :). I'm not going to scrap the piece there will simply just have to be some work done on it :).

Once again sorry for the double post but I've changed the mouth (I know that it still needs work) and I've added the emoticon to the background so that it is more apparent what one I'm doing haha. Still a lot to do but here we go:

P.S. I also inverted it because I think it looks better facing that way, thoughts?

If no one jumps on my old number please may I have it again, The shit I thought I had to do did not last as long as I think. I understand if you pass on me since I had a chance all ready but yes I would like to go back to this project.

So yeah, mine's not done, but it's pretty lame... blah.

I know it was one of them decisions that I felt like I had to make at the time because of many reasons and I felt like if I did not make the decision if it came closer to the date and I still had not finished it would have let the whole group down which would have been the worst situation. anyways love your art, the background is very good and contrasts the foreground (the figure) bringing the angel even more forward and you can not help but have your heart turned by the cuteness.

On a side note I love your first piece hobo although your second one is more about your emote. Still love your first one more.
