I'll also do 28.

By the way, ReNaeNae did 24 so that one isn't free.

No, I was talking to her elsewhere and she said she couldn't end up doing it. 24 is still free.

So free spots are now:
8, 24

Thanks! I don't know, though. I still think I could have done this differently; however, there are some spots that I like (e.g. the yellow lighting in the background).

Thanks! But, there were more vibrant colors in the other version? I may have to go check that... Anyhow, I have the un-cropped piece in the art portal; I can just crop that where ever and keep the vibrancy.

I kind of rushed a ton, but it's okay because I actually finished. And I understand what you mean by, "complications involving college" because I have those each semester. Haha!

If 22 is the ':I' face, then you should message Masteraardvark. He's got this epic drawing of a dude holding a mug, and that emoticon is very much like the face on the mug. If not, I'd be happy to take either. I just got access to photoshop so I'll see what I can conjure up...

Dude, that's bull. You totally got 28. I really like your spacey-smiley dude, too. Just PM Spags; I'm sure he'll get it sorted out.

Anyhow, I'm going to try and do 22... Here's a WIP.

Still fiddling around with CS5. I'm glad I can borrow this mac, because otherwise my laptop doesn't even have the processing power to run my wacom bamboo tablet. Tell me what you guys think. Also, does this guy's face fit the emoticon correctly, or does it look too much like another? I'm shooting for 22, but he looks a bit disgruntled...

Yeah, he looks great so far, but he does look rather peeved for someone who's supposed to have a poker face. Maybe tilt the mouth a lil' counter-clockwise and make the eyebrows less expressive.

I need help. I have three situations in which I can imagine for my picture (my emote is the one you see #8). I'll use words to draw it out. There will be a table, there will be a person, and there will be one of three objects.

Object one: a crumbled cookie. The person is trying to figure out "how the cookie crumbles". No additional emotions.
Object two: a Rubik's Cube. The person is trying to solve an unsolved Rubik's cube. Additional emotion would be a bit weary.
Object three: a chess game that is set to a Fool's Mate. A Fool's Mate is a chess match that is over in two turns. The person is pondering how the game is over so quickly. Additional emotion could be a bit surprised or just confused.

So which one sounds good?

I'd go for the rubiks cube, while it probably isn't as funny as the others, it's the only one that works without explanation/knowledge of chess.

I think if you'd arch his eyebrows up in towards the midle it'd convey the emoticon best... not sure though. atm they are a bit weird.

Any tips for this picture? The only one I definitely see, is that the left leg is too large, I will have that changed.

Welp, you have a mostly blue with a pop of red thing going on. I'd either suggest going for a full primary triad with a yellow face, or using a different hue of blue, maybe a small bit of red added to it. Blue and brown look pretty classic with each other, so if you'd be willing to scrap the tie color for something more harmonious, a more natural darker brown would be lovely as well. You have many options! This is good-lookin', man.

I would say work on the perspective. It looks like you drew the lines haphazardly. Use a one-point perspective and draw all of the lines to align with that, and it would look much better.

Thanks I was thinking that it was the most self-explanatory situation myself, but I liked the other two. I'm using the Rubik's cube.

Noted, changed, and looks a lot different from the original. Though I would like to say that the one-point perspective was the reason why I couldn't do it right (I was fighting the point) so I said "Screw it" and tried drawing, like you said, haphazardly. I realized the drawing I wanted to portray was actually supposed to be a three-point perspective, but I didn't know atm. Either way, I'm doing a two-point perspective now. Thank you, had I not looked-up one-point perspective, I'd never know there were multiple type of perspectives. I did know what a one-point was, but I wanted clarification, and knowledge of how I'd be able to use it without making the picture look distant (the biggest reason why I said "screw it").

So, anyone out there see any room for change on my WIP? I need to know before I start to color it.

I was actually gonna suggest you put the character behind the cube, so good going doing that without my advice! great minds think alike eh?
I'd say, to focus a bit more on the expression, just use the area in the red square (or something like that) so that his face doesn't get lost in the rest of the thing. Also; if you can keep his face/head the lightest part of the drawing, keep the cube a bit in the shadow, that would help draw the eye towards that.
