you have no reason to be here.
Alright, hombre, I am calling you out and going to try to give you some motivation, ya dig?
You've been around the art forum for a while now, you've been somewhat in the general loop of everything going on and though I can't speak for the rest of the Art regs I've more or less accepted you as a "reg," whatever status that may hold. I don't know how serious you are about art but if you are serious about improving I want to be of as much assistance as I possibly can, as does much of the forum I'm sure.
Now, I may be wrong on this judgement but I'd say that your skills as an artist are at the place where you can (and should be) showing us more complete, more ambitious, more interesting art. Looking through the posts in this thread I think you put too much time and energy into the sketchwork of a drawing, especially with the mechs, making it look as symmetrical and "functional" as possible this leads to the tons of incomplete works that fill this thread. Another problem is that even if the mechs were 100% complete they'd just be figures floating in nothing. I've seen you work on more complete compositions like AL-1 and that one orange drawing in that compilation, I think it's time to return to attempting that.
I'd advise that you don't focus too much on small details try to get a dynamic or visually interesting flow of action and motion going, try working faster than you usually do on initial sketching don't focus on colors until the end etc. Start out light, man, then add the heavy stuff.
Personally if I'm working on something I tend to not show anything on it until I've finished it not because I don't appreciate the advice, but I find that when I'm working on something (if its just for me) I don't mind making mistakes and not having a perfect final drawing and using what I learned from the botched drawing to make the next one better. When I'm getting critiques on how to fix something on a WIP I'll take a lot more time trying to fix and perfect the WIP
instead of working on other newer projects. Hope my little anecdote thing helps you in some way.
Anyway, that is my challenge for you, give us some awesome work show us what you can really do, impress us.
