Newgrounds Have a Sports Forum?

Skaren is saying why newgrounds doesn't have a sports forum and should have 1,I think its a pretty good idea in my opinion.I mean you could talk about NFL NBA MLB NHL and more.A lot of interesting stuff are going on in the NBA heres 1 Lakers Trade Pau Gasol?!. I wish there was one.

What do you think? Should they have one?

Well, do you really think there will be a lot of traffic in the sports forum? We usually get a minimal amount of sports topics, so I don't really think it would be all that necessary. It would be nice, but...meh.

A sports forum is pointless. Considering there are already threads in the club and crews forum for the main sports people talk about; football, basketball etc. People are just to stupid to use them.

Hey look, I created a thread without creating a thread! I think there should be a sports forum because even though there are a minimal amount of sports topics, there are probably a lot more than the political topics. I'm not sure though.

Yeah, considering that the usual sports thread is usually poozy making bets with other users and filling the thread with barely SFW sexual pics, a sports forum really has no potential.

I think there's no need, considering how few sports threads I see, and how there are clubs for the different sports.

I think it would be better if we kept them in threads in Clubs & Crews. I don't think NG would give them the most traffic.

This isn't 4chan. There isn't a need to create a new sub-forum for every single interest that exists. General and Clubs/Crews exists for a reason.

A sports forum would be cool, but why not just make a sports club if they already don't have one? Probably the NFL would be the topic that would be discussed the most, considering how much Americans love their "Football". Why not start a sports club in the Clubs & Crews forum? I'm sure there will be enough sports fanatics out there for that.

Unlike video game threads back in the day, it's not like we're constantly dealing with a flood of sports related threads here in the General Forum.

As far as I can see, most sports discussions actually tend to stay centred in one thread (one for the Super Bowl, one for the football WC, etc.), which doesn't make a forum for it all that necessary.

I would think if you were to add another forum that topic would be on the list but flash animations sites and sports threads usually don't mix though i got to admit the popularity of sports here on NG has risen over the years.

I would like for it to happen but i don't see it happening at least we still have our threads though. :)

Yeah it's pretty pointless and will probably get as much traffic as the mobile forums. The only one I ever see making sports threads is Poozy so that should speak for itself.

It seems silly to do, because it would just be something there wouldn't be a lot of talk about. I just think it would make more sense to have a forum about food or science, things that are more important than sports. Politics is probably the biggest subject we'll ever have so I think we should just keep the ones we already have. It seems silly to go through the effort of making new things if you could just talk about them in the general forums.

Sure there is already designated topics for certain sports discussion, but have you noticed that a lot of those topics are cramped as hell? WWE club has over 900 pages, can you think of how many different threads that could make? And that's just wrestling, too.

It's not like the mobile forums get that much traffic anyway, and people have pushed for that. Why not a Sports & Fitness Forum?

NG doesn't really have enough people who want to discuss sports to justify such a thing, and besides, people are only really interested towards the end of a sports season, when that game's championships are going on.

If Newgrounds had a fitness forum, sure it'd get plenty of threads. They'd be something along the lines of this, this, or this gem of a thread.

And then rules would probably be made saying that those don't belong in fitness. And everyone would abandon fitness in favor of general again. As for sports, clubs are already well established, why would they leave?
