I used to call my mum, "mother!" in a very gay, stereotypical english way. Then i stopped.

I jokingly refer to my mom as 'Mother' sometimes, because she doesn't like it. Now it has sort of become an endearing term.

I always call them mother and father. And that sounds wrong because its not always. But I do it out of jest really. I call my dad father when I first see him and he says "daugh". From there on he's just dad. And mum I do call her mum of course just mother when I'm feeling the mood too.
