In order for the frame to stop and it wouldn't go onto the next frame automatically I put in the action script for the frame to stop. However, because of this, I have animated sprites on the background so it conflicts. I need help in finding a solution so that only the text frames stop and the animated sprites keep moving. I hope I'm making myself clear. I have my characters on one layer and my text boxes and buttons on another layer. Everything works perfectly only that my animated sprites stop moving because I put the stop on the frame so that the animation doesnt keep going. So I was wondering if there was a way that i can have both my animated sprites moving and the text dialogue still until I press the button.
I think that this tutorial covers pretty much everything you're trying to do.
