Sketching is good practice and look beautiful if done right imo. This, just sketch, don't worry about color. Improve your drawing abilities. You need to walk before you can run.

Also I suggest using reference pics when thinking about poses to do. It helps when you have something to look at when you're trying to draw.

Again the light makes things blurry.

So what does everyone think of the sketches?

What are they supposed to be?
They're so blurry I can't tell.
Try not to use so many references for sketching. Sketching is about experimenting. Like the pic I drew below

Yes. He was clearly using way too many references. That is certainly his problem. Too many references. Make sure to "sketch" random shit off the top of your head and then when you finish your "sketch", colour it in immediately. There is no intermediary step between sketching and colouring. And remember - no references. It doesn't have to look like it does in real life. It doesn't even have to be recognizable. Just make it, and it will be good.

I explained why they are blurry.

no no no... the reason they are blurry is because what ever camera you are taking the photos with doesn't have a "macro" built into it, or a setting (or you haven't selected it)... the light only affects the hue of the picture not the blurriness.
when i take picture of my painted miniatures, i use the highest macro setting (super macro) with the anti-shake setting on as i have to hold the camera close without support, so any movement while the shutter is open is drastic and causes fuzziness as well... but i wouldn't worry about getting a better camera until you make better quality stuff... keep going! less references (else you will keep on depending on them) and do lots often!

Are macro's those extra lenses?

just looks like something done really low resolution and your calling it pixel art... I don't think you have quite under stood...
Robo from Chrono Trigger in HD. Four times the original size + following original artwork. 18 colors Hope you enjoy
Come see my cage, built in Migraine. http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=U45NfWSX-Vk Thanks for the frontpage! =]
these are good examples of pixel art... where each pixel is placed by hand like a mosaic.
where as your picture looks like i have already said, a low resolution picture done with a large brush with blurred edges.
keep trying, have a go at working on one piece for a few hours and see what you can come up with.
