here are a few problems i have
-i use the "boil" Technic to make still images look animated, how do i save it so the boil effects stays with it?
-sometimes i wan to use the paint bucket on an image, though it wont color in (for whatever reason).
-is there a better way to divide up the scenes?
any help on these would be great! thanks guys!
pic included. its my current animation.

youll find we dont have a scientific approach to animation so...freeballing is the right way

i dont know that one, but i want to, care to expand?

youll need to learn how flash handles movieclips and graphics and libraries, its daunting at first but youll manage

sure. basically what i do is i draw the original picture, copy it into the next frame, and then smooth the second frame. when you play it, this will give the illusion that you have animated the picture.

I called it flobble until now but boiling makes alot more sense. I guess by save you mean to loop the effect. This is easily done if you convert the frame to a graphic, then doubleclick it, copy the frame, smooth etc. When leaving the symbol editing mode it should be set on repeat by default and can be found in your library.
-sometimes i wan to use the paint bucket on an image, though it wont color in (for whatever reason).
This happens alot when there's a little hole in your lineart, zoom in and find that bastard. It could also be that you try to fill a graphic/movieclip while not in its editing mode.
-is there a better way to divide up the scenes?
If you want an easy way to split scenes you should read up on graphics and movieclips. If you utilize these right your main timeline won't be a mess. Each graphic or movieclip has its own timeline where you edit it and graphics can be set on repeat, play once or to show a single frame. This obviously comes in handy for all sorts of animations, not just organizing your scenes. This would be too much to explain here in detail of course.

I think this technique is best used sparingly, unnecessary movement can be very distracting. Additionally, it doesn't make up for a lack of movement in frames. I think its best used to ease a motion on the last frame.
-sometimes i wan to use the paint bucket on an image, though it wont color in (for whatever reason).
When you say image, do you mean a picture you imported? Like a .jpg or something? Explain the situation more, maybe I can help you out.
-is there a better way to divide up the scenes?
You can use flash's built in scene function. Insert>Scene. Though I find this to be pretty annoying, I like to make each scene in its own .FLA and then when its all done, copy and paste the frames into a final piece. Keep in mind though, when you copy paste frames in differently layers, it makes a new layer in the new FLA, regardless if you have particular layers selected.
Hope that helps.
Thanks Kamu and Tyler, i really appreciate it.

I'd imagine he mean, when there is a tiny gap.
when you select the bucket, there should be a little circle in the tools settings, just below the tools on the samepanal. Anyway there you can change the bucket so fills in even if there are large/medium.small/no gaps, hope that what you were looking for, otherwise just make sure there are no gaps in lines.
you know, we cant give you much tips if you only show us a single picture of an animation, because...animation is ussually
fully appreciated when there is multiple pictures and in succession...enough witiness, show us something
