I went into the battle disregarding everything I've read in this thread, and just judged the damn verses on their merit.

Both rappers had a few dodgy moments, where it didn't work, or they flubbed their line. I was originally actually going to vote Gasmasq, but after 3 listens, I went for SJD, because I thought his flow and lyrics were more inventive.

Have you ever read PiG's internet comic? I read it and then realised that the scoring system for troll points is probably his scoring system for self worth (at least on web, PiG's probably the most normal cool cat in real life). Just don't give him any points, and he'll go seek 'em elsewhere.

my problem is that i don't get how battling someone resolves any issues. I feel like you can be good at battling and be bad at making songs, or good at making songs and bad at battling. I mean yea, you directly beat someone at something, but other than that what does it really prove?

I look at battling as a way of approaching hip hop that you normally don't get from a song making point of view. There's something to be said about just ripping into a person lyrically to see who the bigger beast is.

By the troll game point system the tallying committee would give me a point for one of the times i did a single sentence jibe at teq and he lolcow'd out 5 paragraphs. SJD is probably mad at me all the time but it's too hard to prove since he shows it by throwing a few lame insults at me.
