I sent Lil C a message about it and gave him some time to fix it; he wasn't interested.

I also told Lil C that if it was cool with Red I'd fix the beat so that it wouldn't be all silent during his verses. Also, still not interested.

Honestly did not think he was that dumb. I wonder how he works a computer.

Rampant, I like your music you're a cool guy. I'm not criticizing you, but with you're accent, its hard to pull it off to our American ears.

Somebody I liked from NG as well that had the accent was InvasiveInsomniac, you should look him up, he's really good in my opinion.

Eh. I'm seeing a lot of what the first people to say I was doing alright with my lyrics said-- "GET A BETTER MIC". That's highest on my priority list right now, and then I'll pick up on the battles that people are buggin' at me for. Was a good battle against suddlenuance, but what the hell, it is what it is, and I hope he smacks some bitches out in his further rounds.

The fact that so many Americans can't understand us is really detrimental to all of us Brits. Especially *ahem* those of us with thicker accents.

Ah well. We'll live.

Also, I've noticed a distinct lack of European and 'Latino' MC's in this place.

Denver Jonez vs Nerfgun Timmy

Denver Jonez still had not submitted his first verse as of this morning and is therefore disqualified from the competition. Nerfgun Timmy automatically advances.

No, the problem is y'allz not playing to your audience.... those are the people you're trying to impress. So spend more time on enunciation and dont use a bunch of slang and references that only Britainers will understand (like the fatxtek battle).

But Americans made it audible to international ears. True story: Way back in the day, American had very strict English teachers that enforced tight rules on the pronunciation and enunciation of the language. They believed that English English was too low brow and (for lack of a better term) idiotic (by their puritan standards). Y'all may have given birth to the language, but Americans trained it and forged it into the world's most common second language.

Personally though, I think Rampant has good enough enunciation; for those who can't understand most or at least some of his lyrics need to learn English.

Yes of course how silly of me, because you live in the birthplace of English you automatically have good enunciation. SORRY MY HIGHNESS.

Aye hombre. Gotta keep it P. C. NAAHMSAAHN?

@ Pig: Perhaps you're right. The slang is definitely an issue, but in most cases you can figure out what stuff means by the context. UNLESS YOU'RE RETARDED OHOHOHOHO.

So I just looked at everyone's reviews on me and Wyze's battle. I'd just like to point out that this is a rap battle, not an insult battle. Wyze completely disregarded the concept of flow and had such choppy, rushed, and forced bars. I figured since we were doing this over a continuous beat back and forth that flow and style would be a big factor too. This should have been over no beat if you just wanted nothing but insult after insult like Grindtime and those battle comps do... The reason I'm making this point is to raise awareness for future battles that if a rapper's flow sucks and he has to hastily cram a bunch of words in to make them fit, he's not too good of a rapper and these types of battle flow and rhyme structure should be considered.

Also, I'd like to post my lyrics, just so you can read what I wrote.

V1
"Watch the way the lights illuminate 64
In your house breaking doors, you don't know what youâEUTMre asking for
I take your soul out like trash, do my daily chores
This is rap and IâEUTMm never flat, I spit a bar, go tit for tat

This is real rap, I donâEUTMt mess with you lil boys, so go back to the corner play with your damn toys
Butterscoth MC, suck my d-i-c
A villain always wrecking beats, youâEUTMre faker than trick or treat
So Wise stingray, IâEUTMm steve erwinâEUTMs ghost and IâEUTMm haunting your ass, IâEUTMll wreck on you any coast

AinâEUTMt no blood on your hands, only blood in your lungs,
cause my vocal cords are vocal swords
Feel the attack of my tongue

So this wise guy, gonna get a wise line,
heâEUTMs a decoy, that I destroy with my voice
So when I enter the arena, itâEUTMs only rejoice, you step onto the battle field, and itâEUTMs only weak noise "

V2
"So now I gotta come back, gotta make a big splash,
IâEUTMm gyardos, still reppinâEUTM steveâEUTMs ghost
YouâEUTMre like a Magickarp in a match, only chose last,
this is real talk, and IâEUTMm dishing the fire blast

IâEUTMm Charizard, king of the cards, leaving your ass with a char and a scar,
just leaving my mark
IâEUTMm embarking on my mission, to split you up like a prism,
this model swordâEUTMll leave you rather sore and in schisms,

So listen to lines of the speeding rhyme spitter,
I ainâEUTMt CassidyâEUTMs cars, but IâEUTMm a run and hitter,
So IâEUTMma sensei stringgay, the runt of his litter,
Every fish in the ocean has seen bigger, I know why youâEUTMre bitter.

WeâEUTMre all destined to grow got the clipper,
so watch the way I frolic in the flow and you shiver, stay underwater,
we donâEUTMt need you above,
this a grown manâEUTMs world and you ainâEUTMt getting no love"

The formatting of those lyrics died. Also, while you can clarify a line or two, you really shouldn't be posting the entire lyrics.

So everybody knows, this weekend I'm going to start a push to get non-MC voters to vote on these. Keep in mind most of the votes you currently see are from competing MCs and at the moment they do not count. I'm going to be calling winners on Pre-Round battles as we go so the next battles can start, and then I will call all Round 1 battles at the same time so the competition is in sync again.

Flow is a big part of it as well, but not as big as the actual insults. A rap battle is a rap battle, which generally includes insults. With flow or not, Grindtime doesn't call them "insult battles" silly. Wyze's flow wasn't bad at all, however he murdered you lyrically, and his delivery/quality wasn't that bad. Everything he has good with great lyrics, he has a gay voice but hey he does what he can with it.

You had a good flow, and good quality. You're delivery is good as well, however, you had nothing real to deliver me. I read your lyrics.

However, you know what? Screw being nice. Fact is, Wyze bodied you lyrically, I'm sorry but its true. If you honestly and truly believe that flow is ALL that matters in rap, then go join Young Money or Drake or whoever it is that you kids look up to for inspiration now-a-days.

I didn't say flow is all the matters, I was saying it seemed like not many people were considering that in the reactions. I was saying that I feel like flow and delivery should be considered more when judging goes around based off how I was seeing all the reviews were.

At 15 minutes ago, P64 wrote: stuff.

In any battle, when you write stuff that can apply to anybody, you're not battling, when you're only glorifying yourself, you're not battling. When you battle someone with generic lines, that's a showcase, not a battle.

P64 your flow is one of the best around here, for sure. But there's a shit ton of info on Wyze you could have dug up and you didn't. If you were in front of a live crowd, there would not have been any defining moment of your verse where people felt that you attacked Wyze, other than the Steve Irwin's ghost line, which didn't hit very hard because a stingray killed Steve Irwin.

Well, you're right, and you're flow is good. But the only way for you to really win this battle, is if they consider flow more than lyrics. Do you really want flow to be more important than actual lyrics? I'm not trolling or trying to be a dick here, I'm just saying.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I think in a BATTLE, the attack is most important. You could have used those lines against anyone here, they were not personalized. Therefore Wyze wins.
