Probably. It's a good beat, but the final beat needed way more energy to convey the weight of the situation. I was expecting a hard ass, epic instrumental and a battle that would be a fitting conclusion to the months of shit talking and buildup.

You are both great rappers, but this battle was not what I expected. It sounded like you guys were just burnt out from the competition or something.

I think the beat itself actually did well at conveying the "final battle" nature of it...

I do agree that the verses weren't quite there. Perhaps if they had made it 4 verses each, or at least 3... That would have made it stand out from the other battles.

Anyway, I think Square went on the defensive too much, responding to SJD's disses too much, instead of inventing his own. He did invent many of his own, but it seemed like it was responding too much.

Anyway, good battles all round this year. I'm voting SJD, and no, he didn't pay me to write this, lol...

IDK what the intro and outro has to do with the actual battle but okay. I already know what Scuare is thinking. It's obvious.

Listened to the battle on my iPod, I'll vote tonight. But I gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with the choice for the beat. It was way to boring for the conclusion of the comp. I was expecting a much bigger and more energetic piece. The fact that sjd brought a lot more energy to his parts is gonna give him a huge advantage IMO, but I'll listen to it again when I'm home on my computer.

The self promotion isn't going to affect my vote at all. I was just saying that it was kind of lame in this situation (plus both of them did it so it cancels out anyway).

I was just expecting more. I liked the beat, but not for this final battle. I am a fan of both of these emcees, but thought that they could have done much better. The volume differences really threw me off. I'd also like to point out that I had impossibly high hopes for this battle, which has a lot to do with my reaction.
