Could you live without Facebook? Feb. 17th, 2012 @ 05:09 AM Reply

I recently deleted mine in hopes that I'll stay away from it. I find it incredibly time consuming, not to mention distracting, and I don't even talk to anybody on there so I figured whats the point of even keeping a profile?

I only have a Facebook so that I can keep in contact with one or two people who I have very few other means of keeping in contact with.

and stupid Facebook games.

I only talk to a couple people on there, and could very easily live without it. The only reason I ever made one in the first place was cause I was tired of hearing everyone's shit about me not having a facebook.

I fucking hate the majority of my "friends"

I think you mean "Can you live without Facebook?" because "could" is conditional, and you haven't got an extra condition.
Unless you mean "Could you live without Facebook if Facebook never existed?" or something of the sorts. But you didn't.

i don't have a fb account
or any friends

We could all live without Facebook considering Google+ is so much better

Does anyone actually read these?

Considering the NG forums don't have much of a social life, I doubt most of them would care.
I talk to enough people on there, and I make plans with my friends on there.

Yes. I check facebook once a day, and there's never something important/entertaining anyways.

I guess I would get used to live without it. It is indeed time consuming, but sadly is one of the few methods I can use to communicate with my friends online.

But honestly, I visit the BBS more often that Facebook.

Yes, definitely. It's almost too easy a task, as I use Facebook only for a few friends. I don't even use it for games, and I don't have anything important to do on that.

Can I live without Newgrounds, though? No.

I promise you not a single response in this thread on this website will be "no I couldn't live without Facebook." Everyone here knows that one user would be made fun of and thought of as a loser and "fag."

In reality I'll tell you why it would suck if I lost it. I would lose a great networking to a great group of friends I have around the world, who I don't often get to talk to on the phone, and I don't like emailing, so Facebook is convenient in that sense. I also have a place to see how old high school friends who I still stay in touch with are doing. It's a pretty useful and well done networking site. Could I live without it? Yes. But then I'd need to find other ways to accomplish staying in touch with my international friends.

Yea, I farm Anal Penguins. Do something about it.

I have considered deleting it, but there's not doubt it can have it's uses, like contacting certain people or whatever. My primary use for it is keeping up to date with my favourite bands.

You'd be surprised how active the NG community is on Facebook.

I could live without it, yes, but it would make my life slightly more awkward. I have friends scattered across various places in the UK due to them moving away or because they're people I've met when I was away from home. Without Facebook I'd lose my primary method of contacting and keeping in touch with them.

That's all Facebook is to me. A way to keep in touch with people that I don't regularly see in person.
