2011 was a strong year for video games. We had Uncharted 3, Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and so on and so forth. But that was last year..... In 2012, we are gonna have Binary Domain in 2 weeks from today (2/14/12), XCOM in March, CounterStrike: Global Offensive, Halo 4, Prototype 2, Mass Effect 3, Aliens:Colonial Marines, Bioshock Infinete, and finally DOTA 2!!!!!11 Whew! Looks like we have a lot to look forward to, Newgrounds! So, choose your consoles, go out to GameStop (or steam, XBOX Live, or Playstation Store), and buy these games(not all of them!!!!!) We also got the PlayStation 4, Xbox 720, and Wii U coming sooner or later, during interminable dates. Have fun!
I'm pretty sure the consoles are all 2013+ releases. But there's not a great deal I'm looking forward to game-wise in 2012, mainly Planetside 2, Mass Effect 3, and a MMORTS called End of Nations, which looks pretty interesting. The rest of the stuff coming out is all just fluff to me.

Dishonored and Journey are the only ones I'm looking forward to now that Metro: Last Light was delayed. The new X-Com strategy game (not the awful looking FPS) might be worth a look as well, but I kinda have mixed feelings about everything I've seen and heard about that game.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City , Hitman 5: Absolution; and Rainbow 6 Patriots all look awesome

XCOM-Never played the original, but I've watched a very good Let's Play (Yogscast to be specific) and it has made me uber excited to see what a modern version of the game might be...
Ni No Kuni-I'm not 100 percent sure this comes out this year, but I mean, Studio Ghibli, Level 5 Games, ...fuck
Tales of Graces F-I've only played Symphonia, and like maybe 25 minutes of Abyss for the Ps2, but the Tales Games are very solid JRPG's something I'm finding harder and harder to come by these days.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII-Guy can be hopeful
Halo 4-I'm not excactly sure how they are going to pull it off, but if they do, I'll get behind it.

I was going to get XCOM and do a Let's Play! on YouTube, but professional gamers like SSoPHKC will probably do it. I haven't played the original, but from what I have heard, XCOM (the new) will be a strategy, not an FPS. But, in July 2010, I read in the Official Xbox magazine that it would be an FPS though.... Sooooo which will it be?????

Whether you mean this is a bad way or not, I would have to agree. The fact that you can summon a horde of rats alone makes this game ridiculously interesting, but the fact that the game focuses on stealth in the first person? Along with the setting being an alternate Victorian Era with a bit of steam punk and magic thrown in?
It's like "Thief" all over again.
Not to mention that the art director is Viktor Antonov, a man that can do no wrong.
